RE: Electric Awnings tie-downs??

My 2008 Laredo has an electric awning - not sure what make. It doesn't seem to have any way of adjusting the arms. Several months ago when we were at a campground in late spring, a rainstorm came through that turned to slushy, heavy snow. The awning was out and it collected all the snow and water to where it sagged in the middle. Then it wouldn't retract because of the weight. I had to use a broom to push up and get the water off so I could retract it. I'd like to be able to adjust the angle down - at least on one side, as H&E mentioned, but I don't see any way of being able to do that with my awning. When it's extended, it's almost straight out.

RE: Axel alignment

Thanks for all the great advice. I checked the bearing and it doesn't seem to be out of tolerance there, but when I take it in, I'll have the bearings all repacked anyway.

Axel alignment

Hey guys,
I purchased my fiver early last year and it has about 5K miles on it now. Last week when I was checking tire pressure, I noticed the right rear tire was worn funny on the inside. Looking closer, I found it was worn down to the steel belts in places - like it had locked up or something, but only on the inside of the tread. I don't know why I never noticed before - just wasn't paying attention, I guess. So I changed it out with the spare and then measured between the axels. The right side measures about 1/4 inch wider than the left, with the measurement taken at the shackles. I took it out on a nearby (250 mile round trip) weekend trip without any trouble, but I'm concerned about this. Is that much alignment enough to do this? The other tires are all fine.
