Inverter - Converter - Solar Panels

Noticed a Sprinter motor home that has the inverter converter and solar panels. I was wondering if that combination would power a microwave or air conditioner. I don't have any information as to the size of the panels or any other information about the inverter or converter.

RE: Fort Myers Beach FL

We spend our winters at Indian Creek RV Resort Fort Myers Beach Fl.
Lots of activities. Three pools, hot tub, exercise building etc. The park is only 2 miles from Fort Myers Beach which can be reached by a short trolly ride. The trolly stops outside the park entrance.

RE: New fridge not cold. What did I forget?

I had the same problem with my 3 way frig. Called a Technician who came and adjusted the temperature knob - frig worked fine.
Cost my $40.00 to find out. When all else fails, read the instructions.

Fuel for Sprinter based motorhomes

Is diesel fuel for the sprinter readily available, not only along interstates but elsewhere in small towns? Do you have to plan your trips with the availability of diesel fuel in mind?
Are there different grades of diesel fuel as there are for gasoline?
Are there some grades of diesel fuel that would be harmful to a Sprinter motorhome?
Still looking at options for a replacement B and have a lot of questions as I work my way through the units available.
Would appreciate responses from Sprinter owners with as much information as possible.

RE: Buying Motorhome in ON CA, Can I check if there is a lien?

In Ontario, I believe, you can go to DMV and get the vehicle history for about $20.00 provided you have the VIN. The last page of that document should list liens and loans.

Propane Generators

Looking at a 2008 motor home with a propane generator that has NEVER been used. Meter shows .1 hrs. What problems could we expect from a generator that has not been used at all during the 4 years it has been in the motor home?
Secondly, since it would be burning propane rather than gasoline, would the generator require exercising every month as it would if it were gasoline? It would seem that propane would be a cleaner burning fuel and the need for exercising may not be as important.
Would appreciate any comments.

RE: Roadtrek 190 or 210

We had a 2003 RT Popular until last year.
We found that we did not like the toilet in the kitchen area. Also we found the single beds too narrow and too hard to sleep comfortably.
Finally, I got so frustrated with the dump system in the RT Popular that I put it up for sale. It is the most difficult system I have ever used.
Looking for another RV but it won't be a Roadtrek unless they improve their dump system.

2009 Holiday Rambler Augusta Sport 210

I posted this message on the Class B Forum but someone suggested the vehicle is a Class C so I thought I would post it here as well.
I am looking for a motorhome and wish to see a 2009 Holiday Rambler Augusta Sport 210 this weekend.
I would appreciate any information from any current owners on this model motor home .

I am looking at various Class B motorhomes with the hope of buying one in the next month or so.
I want to look at a 2009 Holiday Rambler Augusta Sport 210 this weekend.

RE: Sprinter Class B Motorhomes

That is good information. Thank you.
Do you know whether the change to the 6.0 engine was made in 2007 or 2008. Also does anyone know if those problems were carried forward to the 2008 engine.
The cost of even a used one is quite significant, and I would hate to buy into something that would be major problems or costs shortly after I bought it. I am going to take every precaution that I know but any advance information from knowledgeable owners would be very much appreciated.

Sprinter Class B Motorhomes

I have been looking at used class B motorhomes for the past few weeks. Noticed that there are a larger than usual number of 2008 Sprinter motorhomes for sale. Now these may be on 2007 chassis. Don't know at this point. It just seems strange to me that only 2008 units are showing up for sale.
For those who own them, are you aware of any issues with those model years of MB engines? Would they be due for some type of major overhaul after that many years?
If not, would you recommend the purchase of one of those units.

RE: Bell Tv

When I first heard about Bell not permitting use of their system in the USA, I called them. I was told the CRTC did not allow the system to be used outside Canada. I then called the CRTC and was told they have no interest whatsoever in where the signal is received. Still a strange situation.

RE: Indian Creek RV Resort - Fort Myers

Our son purchased in Indian Creek two years ago. He purchased privately rather than going through the Park office.
He wanted the amenities that the Park provides. He is also only there a couple of months a year so the Park security was also a factor.
I understand that the rates have been frozen but don't know for how many years.
If he had bought a house as some suggested, it would remain empty most of the year and would be subject to someone breaking in and destroying the place. He would also have to contract out maintenance of the lawn while he is away.
As for San Carlos Blvd, it is crowded. Going to the beach(2 miles away)is easy with the trolley that takes you directly to the beach.
Everyone to his own taste I guess. Our son is happy with his purchase.

RE: Tracfone LG420G

Thanks. This seems logical because I did see the numbers on speed dial but didn't know where to go from there. I will try that. Appreciate the help.

RE: Tracfone LG420G

I did manage to get the contacts list set up. Whether they will work again, requires a test which I will do shortly. Thanks for that.
Was not able to understand the speed dial instruction that was given. Assume my phone is not set up the same way.
Anyone who has the same phone and can give me instructions please?

RE: Tracfone LG420G

Thanks I will try the contacts and see how that goes.
My vision is fine so that is not the problem. Just a complete absence of any technological sense. I get so far into the system and without any further direction, I don't know where to go.
I was hoping that someone who has entered speed call numbers on that phone might be able to provide step by step directions.

RE: Tracfone LG420G

Unfortunately the instructions to do anything is very limited. I don't even know how to do that. They give me a couple of symbols to get me to an area, then leave me. I don't know what to do next.

Tracfone LG420G

At my advanced age, I finally purchased my first cell phone, a Tracfone LG420G. It is an experience learning how to use it. At present, I am trying to enter telephone numbers into the speed dial area. The manual is practically useless. It indicates that I hit the soft key, then 2, then 3. That much I can do. From there I don't know what to do to get the speed dial numbers entered.
Could anyone give me some simple directions on how to get numbers entered into the speed dial section so I don't have to dial the complete number every time.
I will be grateful for any assistance I can get.

RE: Still here but no RV

I had the same problem with storage and sold my Roadtrek. Still check out RV Net every day. Reading this forum, I think I made a mistake. May have to find another motor home. In the meantime, I can't get enough of RV Net.
