Heater

I used my motorhome this weekend for the first time in several months. It is cold here and I turned our heat on. Problem is I had forgot to turn the gas on the propane tank. It never got warm and then after checking things out, I realized I had not turned the propane on. It only blows cool air. Not good when its 28degrees outside. Did i screw up my heater?
