RE: Bed-saver

I am also considering one of these.
The Bed Saver App Guide specifies hitch compatibility and whether the other product, PinLock, will work for your hitch. It may be cheaper/better, but does not work with the hitch I want.
The Bed Saver instructions for my hitch say:
"Unless otherwise specified, the bedsaver will NOT work with
aftermarket pin boxes. See fit list."
I don't see a fit list, will have to call to see if a Reese 5th Airbourne is OK.
I have the "5th AirBorne" and the BedSaver. They work fine together.

RE: Roadside for a 5th Wheel- Went with Good Sam -Phone Number?

I had GS for years and used it 2 or 3 times for blowouts and even had upgraded to platinum coverage. Then I broke down (luckily close to my home) and called GS and they never provided assistance. I got a friend to come tow my fiver and I limped on in to shop in my F-550 (after sitting on side of Interstate on phone with GS for about 4-5hrs).
Needless to say I told GS what they could do with their "so called" service and I am now with the best in the business......Coachnet.
Coachnet only services RV's and does not farm out any portion of their business nor do they have a preset limit they will pay a vendor who takes an emergency call. This is what happened in my case, no wrecker service would come tow my tow vehicle and my fiver for the fee that was offered. Coachnet will get me off the road and to safety, regardless of cost to them, and not leave me and my family stranded. Type in Coachnet or road side service in search window and see what most folks on this board carry. Don't be like me and learn the hard way.
Hope this helps. Safe travels and happy camping!
Seems that several posters took what I said in my original post "Coachnet does not farm out any portion of their business" out of context. I did not mean they have a nation wide fleet of wreckers, repair facilities, etc. What I meant was, Coachnet is a one issue business and that is providing RV roadside emergency service to the buying public. Whereas for Good Sam and others this is a sideline business that they offer to existing clientele. Good Sam farms out these contracts to companies who make the deals with the Wrecker co. and other vendors. Not so with Coachnet. They do everything in house, again, this is all they are in business for. By the way, before somebody gets the wrong impression here, I have no affiliation whatsoever with any of these co.'s. I have just had real life experience and then did an awful lot of homework.

RE: trailer movement after set up

My Carriage owner's manual advises to lower jack legs to within 6" and not less than 10" from the ground. Jack legs have strength and therefore aid in stabilization, extensions inside them are there for leveling purposes only.
I try to practice this and do not have any added aftermarket device, just fore and aft jacks and notice very little movement. Hope this helps. Good luck and happy and safe camping.
