RE: 2000 tahoe 26GT by Thor

just be sure to check for water damages and test all electrical/appliances as well as gas and plumbing, go around underside and sides of camper and push in by hand checking for soft floor, and step inside all areas of interior especially in corners for soft areas as well. Look on roof for broken vents or gaps in seams where water can get in

RE: Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL early check-in?

we camped there last month and also checked in early with no problems. You can choose your site when you get there so to me it's better to come early before all the good ones are gone. The ones that are "lakefront" cost a bit more than standard ones

RE: need awning parts

the arms will be expensive to ship due to oversize length. I'd suggest rvdoctorgeorge.com, surplus parts guy in northern CA, Sacramento

RE: Ford 6.0 PSD - broke down - fuel issue?

6.0 are world famous for blown turbos which probably explains the low boost, and if you're getting low to no power you can just about bank on it. Look for any signs of oil leakage in engine bay from oil lines. I wish the best for you but doubt it is fuel related. Check the EGR tube as well, and all clamps from intake and exhaust hoses, they could have come loose. keep us posted

RE: Wrong wood???

I made my blocks from pvc fencing that I had left over, from deck railing. Screwed several pieces together for different heights and made several sizes. It will never rot, crack, or warp, and the best part is it came from short pieces that would have been going to the trash can anyway. Lynx levelers are great as well

RE: Bias Tires Issues

I have run bias on my travel trailer and they are superior to radial any day for trailer applications. Yes they ride more harsh than radials, but they don't flex near as much and can take potholes and sidewall abuse way better than radials any day. Bad part is they wear funny and get flat spots, but I've had mine since 2005 on the trailer. The radials they put on them these days would be lucky to go 2-3 years. But- I'd not have bias on a class C rv that you actually ride and drive in. Too rough of a ride.

RE: Slide Out Problems

put a jumpbox on the battery up front and then try it. If hydraulic slide, the motor and pump are prob. upfront also in the storage compartment. Check fluid level in reservoir, if level is good you may have a bad circuit breaker which should also be mounted in this area near the slide motor. The fluid level should be topped to full only with slide in retracted position which i assume it is now

RE: Help! No power from house battery!

could be bad transfer switch which is usually mounted close to converter, if you hear a fairly loud humming noise from the switch that may be your problem. The switch separates campground power from genny power

RE: Front slides

is the coach running with parking brake on and all exterior cargo doors closed? Many coaches won't move slide without those safeties in place. if all seems good call Coachnet back, they should send a tech

RE: Fleedwood Gearbox Ramp Door Frame

maybe install some new latches on both sides, from a trailer shop. properly installed latches will have some pressure fit to them and be a little difficult to shut. If they are easy to open and close I'd say you have an issue. Check all bolts and nuts, rivets, or hinge assemblies on the door and tighten as necessary. If they didn't use lock washers from the factory (or locknuts, even better) it would be wise to use those to keep things from backing out due to vibration

RE: Power Awning -- Anyone done an install?

if you are prewired it's easy, add arms and roller tube and you are done. Easiest to have fabric already on tube and a couple of helpers to slide the fabric through the drip rail.

RE: Help, can't get rear axle back in!

yep, slight tilt of axle gets it in just about every time but if ever a pain in the future just jack up rear end, chock ft wheels and put it in neutral so you can spin other wheel if needed to line it up.

could be an inline fuse located close to step motor under the coach, look at all wires going to steps for an inline one.
