I did it all by phone...called their 800 number sorry I do not have it.and told them my particulars and I am signed up to be out of the country on September 1st for 24 months and still have my health benefits...cheers Les

That is a good article...one thing it does not state is the fact there is an allowance once every 5 years to be out of BC for 24 consequtive(sp) months without losing benefits..I just signed up for it...Les

Slide out left out for 4 months
I own a 23 foot class C with a small slideout and I am leaving for Europe for four months..where the Rv is parked is not under cover and no overhanging trees is it best to leave the slide in or out? Thanks Les

My last few days in Mexico!!
I cross the border at Tecate on Monday after 5 months in this great country..I want to take the time to thank the forum and the wonderful members for all their help over the years...I have seen so many neat places and gotten great directions fron the members and just been helped so much..thank you...and to all those who are interested in September i shall be driving my rig again down to SMA but this time my intention is take up residence there..so any help I can offer in that area it would be my pleasure...all of you be safe and happy out there thanks Les

From the mexican border to san Diego and up to LA
I shall be leaving Mexico monday morning at the border in Tecate and then upto San Diego and onto LA where I have a concert to attend on the 11th April...I have never been this way before and i am solo driving a 23 foot Class C towing a 49 cc scooter...any hidden gems of places to see and boondock..I am not big on musuems but love natural sights, Hiking, water falls, the ocean any must see places and can you stay in Walmarts in this area? thanks for all the help i know will be coming Les

Reading this thread with interest and trying not to throw my 2 pesos in but I cannot any longer....I feel for the couple that were shot and robbed and hope they are OK...this is not about stats this is about facts...I was robbed at gunpoint two years in my RV in a Pemex outside Las Mochis you can read about it on November 12th entry of my blog 2010....www.mexicokid.blogspot.com
I too was very lucky but it has not changed my opinion of this country so much so that in September I am moving full time to San Miguel.....bad things can happen any time any where....just use caution and common sense and come down any enjoy the people, the family, the culture of this amazing country...to those posters who post here on this forum only when subjects like this come up and have no intention of ever coming here.....in my opinion their posts should be banned...this is for Rv'ers in Mexico and the information I have learned from members here is so invaluble oh and by the way i know persoanlly both Croft and Chris and they are wonderful men and great contribitors here and the best advice I would give to any RV'ers in Mexico is Get Church;s Book and get Chris's phone number because he will help you I know it......cheers Les

Question about my new I touch
I am not a computer kind of guy and just bought an I touch and was hoping I could use this this summer in Europe instead of my computer..I do a blog on my computer through Live Writer and then use blogspot on my I touch because it is an Apple it will not let me down load Live Writer is there any way I can download a program that will let me post my blog from my i touch?? Lukeville to Santa Barbara
At the end of the month I shall be leaving Mexico through Lukeville and going to Santa Barbara and was hoping for some help with the route I am in no rush and driving a 23 foot Class C towing a 49cc scooter i am not really big on museums but love the outdoors, hikes, waterfals and interesting places preferably off the beaten track any help and advice would be welcome thanks Les
