RE: Just Bought Our New TT

Congratulations! We have a similar story, PUP to TT then new TT this year. It's a White Hawk 28DSBH in fact. We ordered one and it should be at the dealer hopefully some time next week.

RE: 2012 Jayco White Hawk 27DSRL

Hi,
Congrats on the new camper. Although a different model, we ordered our White Hawk 28DSBH on Feb 18th. Be sure to post photos and give a "first impression" report after you pick yours up. This is the first camper we ordered with everything we wanted, but our 2nd Jayco. Aso if you would like to do a little reading before yours arrives the 2012 White Hawk is online here:
http://www.jayco.com/php/products/owners.manual.php?id=402
It looks like you need to submit your information to get it, but there is a button to click to download the .pdf version.
Happy camping,
Mark in MN.

RE: Thoughts on switching to seasonal site

This year is our first time at a seasonal site. We have been traveling from park to park for the past nine years. We chose to try a seasonal site because my sister also has a site at this park and she has kids that are the same age as ours. There are not a lot of amenities at this resort (it is a fishing resort so there are lots of people who use their ice house as a summer “cabin”) but there is enough to keep our kids busy. I wasn’t so sure I was going to like it. It is a much more “social’ kind of camping. We explore the area, have campfires, fish, etc. It is nice having playmates for the kids. I have found that we get to stay later on Sundays, so that adds almost another day to every trip. Last night we didn’t leave until after dinner and there was little traffic heading home. We also had the resort to ourselves after about noon as most had left to go home. There is always food in the fridge and clothes in the closets. I have found that we end up going more because I’m not as concerned with how late we leave to go up or how late we stay on the final day. This year we spent seventeen nights at our seasonal site as of yesterday. By comparison, we spent 25 nights all of last season going from place to place. I imagine it may get boring after some time but DW just mentioned yesterday how nice it might be to have a BOAT too! Good timing as a slip just opened up in the harbor!

RE: Key broke in lock now can't open door

If you can get into the trailer, why not just remove the lockset from the door and take it to a local locksmith???
