Need Diesel in and around Death Valley!

Let's try this in Roads and Routes!!
I'm planning to head south-west from Ely towards Tonopah, heading to Death Valley down to Shoshone then on to Bullhead City via Searchlight. With the small fuel tank on my truck I'm somewhat concerned with diesel availability.
Can someone enlighten me so I'll know what to expect, or is this too far?
Thanks for any suggestions

RE: South bound countdown

We're heading out on Oct.14, going to see Salt Lake City and Bryce/Zion on the way to Ft. Mohave.
Didn't get to Salt Lake City because of the traffic warnings...went to Death Valley and Pahrump instead. Love Terribles Lakeside Casino and RV Park in Pahrump. Spent 3 days there!

RE: Best route from Wendover to Bryce/Zion

Hey Flyboy....if you're going to stay at the Prospector get there early, RV park is quite small or try a room at the hotel if it's cold. Rooms are good!
Part of the trip down was to checkout SLC but I'm starting to have second thoughts about traffic. We have done 93 4 times from Jackpot to Vegas and was looking for variety on the way to Ft. Mohave.

Best route from Wendover to Bryce/Zion

We will be heading from Wendover/Bonneville about mid October, possibly staying at the KOA in SLC. Is there a way around the traffic problems or am I stuck with it? I understand 89 runs parallel to I-15/I-215...would this be better? Also, how far south do the traffic problems occur? Can I take 89 all the way to Bryce? So many questions...thanks for any ideas.

RE: RV parks in SLC area and Bryce-Zion area.

Lots of great ideas here. Temple Square is on my "to do" list, thanks for the traffic update...is there a way around the traffic mess in SLC? Any other highlights in that area I shouldn't miss?
Also, thanks for the headsup on the Zion tunnel, I'm just under 50' so hopefully I'll be okay.

RE: RV parks in SLC area and Bryce-Zion area.

We will be coming into SLC from Wendover/Bonneville planning 3 nights in SLC and 3 in Bryce/Zion, is that allowing enough time to see the highlights on our way to Ft. Mohave?
Will checkout SLC KOA and Rubys, possibly Zion River on the way.

RE: Another Conversion from ST to LT

While all the tires and wheels are off why not check brakes, pack bearings and install Dexter wet bolt kit and then relax a bit!

RE: Aluminum Wheel Replacement

try Trailer-wheels.com for lots of nice wheels.
Got 4 aluminum Sawtooth wheels for about $105.00 each. Good prices.

Suspension upgrade now complete!

Just want to thank everyone for helping me complete the suspension upgrades on my Dutchman Denali 5'er.
Two years ago I replaced the China bombs with US made Marathons, 225/75/15, an upgrade I thought but needed improvement no less! Ran these for 2 years but was always concerned about ST tires and I listened to the advise on this forum! So this year I made the decision to upgrade again as finances improved.
Shadow Trailers in Calif. supplied the awesome looking 16"wheels. Locally, BFG Commercial TA's, LT 225/75/16 were the best at price and availability.
While all the wheels and tires were off the decision was made to do a brake check, pack bearings, metal valve stems, replace studs and seals and for good measure...throw in a Dexter wet bolt kit!
This upgrade has made me feel a lot more confident, and a whole lot safer. Now I'm a Happy Camper!!
Thanks everyone!

RE: Cross member fails on 05` Cougar

I guess my question would be, which Lippert frame shop are these shoddy welds coming from? Are they located near Keystone factories? Mine looks okay but I keep checking for potential problems. Maybe there is a common denominator here!
