RE: fresh water tank not filling

Only filling it half way is why you are not getting all the******out. You gotta fill it up all the way until it is coming out the over flow.
Dump and fill a few more times. MUCH easier than dropping the tank(s).

RE: Specs on 2005 Weekend Warrior FS 26

600lbs in the down position for the rear bed. That is what the sticker on my bed said when I bought it.
In the up position? Wouldn't do it. The rear of the bed doesn't lock into place like it does in the down position. The only thing holding it up is the seat belt.

RE: New truck bed clearance

You won't change how a 5er tows by flipping the axles.
For off road, I would want no less than 7" of clearance.
I have 9" of my setup.

RE: Tire Debate

Nobody mentioned Maaxis tires here? I was told they are one of the best trailer tires in the tech forum. Any thoughts on those?
I might run those on my little flatbed, but no way on my heavy toyhauler. No ST tires for me with heavy loads.

RE: How much weight added with just "stuff"

The only things I load in/out each trip are clothes, food and toys.
Propane, grills, tools, spare parts etc all stay in my trailer all the time.
I have weighed my trailer all loaded up, so I know my weights also.

RE: AZ proximity locations to ride

Depends on what kind of riding you want to do.
Sand? Dunes are 4 hours from Gilbert.
Mountains are 2 hours
Desert is about 35min from your house.

RE: Voltage V3950 With GMC 2500 Duramax

Yes, you are crazy.
You are so over your trucks tow ratings it isn't even funny.
And for everyone that is quoting the tow ratings from a brochure, those don't mean squat.
Go get the truck weighed, then use the GVWR, GCWR and GAWR to determine how far over you really are.

RE: Tire Debate

Ribs are the best E rated 16" tire on the market. Either the Rib of the BFG would work. Either are also better than any ST tire.

RE: Sealant - Roof Sealing

I have done a few spots in my roof a couple of times over the past 2 years. Dicor is good stuff. I am going to put Eternabond on some of the straight seams the next time I do it.

RE: Need larger tires....go for it, do axle flip, need help...

By changing tires, your towing experience shouldn't get any worse.
If you have the correct WD hitch and good tires on your tow vehicle, even flipping the axles shouldn't make anything worse.
What tow vehicle are you using?
Do you have LT tires on the tow vehicle?
Are you getting trailer sway?

RE: New to the Forum...Have a few questions

Wanted to do a service on the generator today since I will be using next wknd...Cross referenced the Onan Filter and got a Wix one and got 30W oil that met all the specs...Will def stock-up on the Onan filters and Oil...Im a big believer in preventative maint...Im pretty familiar with all the regular stuff since we had a 42 Monaco Dynasty and all is checking out on the hauler great...thanks for the advice
If you say you are going to stock up on Onan filters, why did you buy a Wix?
Really? I was kinda hoping this wouldnt be like all the other forums I am on where ppl spend most their time on the forum just picking at other ppl. But to answer your question, if you refer to my post that you quoted, you will see where I stated that I wanted to get the service done TODAY since I will be using the hauler next weekend.
Then you might not want to post anything about weights if you are towing with a F150 or something. :) LOL
BTW, I can drive to any RV store and pick up a Onan filter off the shelf and change my oil TODAY.

RE: New to the Forum...Have a few questions

Don't use a Autozone or Napa filter, get Onan filters and plugs. You don't change them very often, so I think it is best to use OEM.

RE: MLK Weekend ~ So Cal

Going to skip this weekend, tired of the busy weekends. Going down the following weekend to Gordons. Hope to have really smooth sand!!!!!!
I don't blame you. I hate going on holiday weekends. But we are going to stay the week, so hopefully we will have a couple less crowded days. :)
I don't mind Thanksgiving, New Years and Prez, but that is about all I can handle each season for busy weekends.

RE: weekend warrior fs30 pump station

Where can the gears be purchased?
Graco has a list of authorized dealers on their website. There is one off of 36th street North of Baseline.

RE: weekend warrior fs30 pump station

You don't need to replace the entire pump, just the gears. Graco sells an updated set that work well. I replaced mine a couple of months ago.
You should be using a 30A fuse.

RE: truck bed length

I can hook up my 5er, put in a bunch of wood, put a LT80 in front of my 5er hitch AND put in 3 dump cans. Lets see a SB truck do that and still be able to turn sharp. :) No way would I not have a short bed again. Love my long bed.
