RE: how do I replace coax in entire rv

I want to replace coax in my 1994 Bounder. I want to upgrade so I can have hd tv and Satellite. Old coax is in bad shape. Is it possible to just pull out the old and follow with new? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I wouldn't bother removeing the old. Just find a route for the new. I'll bet the old is anchored along the way?

RE: Dometic Cold Air Dump... I want it!

There is kit out there somewhere. I converted my previous coach 10 years ago, but don't remember the details. As I recall I got the correct register vent and then had to block off somthing inside (behind the register) to make it work. Call Dometic.

RE: Cummins water in fuel

Here is a link to an article that debunks the idea of condensation causing a fuel water problem in a boat or RV, http://www.yachtsurvey.com/myth_of_condensation_in_fuel_tanks.htm. Gary Interesting article. Thanks... Larry

RE: What's your rig(+toad) and what's your MPG?

Just give us an Average please of mpg and rig you are using.. I can't figure out the drag coefficient of a headwind at 20mph?!@#$%... I am just trying to get a grasp on what to expect from a Class A rig fuel mileage wise. At 4-5-6 mpg I might have to rethink the buying strategy. If I can I will try to keep list in this 1st post. Thanks Chris Engine size/type would be helpful.

RE: using biodiesel to increase lubrication

I would use it again if I could find it. Put 1/2 tank in about 4 years ago at FlyingJ and engine ran quieter and smoother. I haven't seen it since. I use Power Service additive from Walmart.

RE: HELP ON 1999 ALLURE40'SLD BUY

I'm not familiar with that year, but I think the earlier years for CC were better than later years. Overall a great coach for any year. We love our 2003 Allure. Go to the CC forum here for more info. Good luck.

RE: Thetford Aria Deluxe Toilet

We have the same toilet and like it. I wouldn't say it's "TOO" loud, but it's not quiet either. It works just fine. Our circuit board was replaced under recall...

RE: AQUA HOT IN COLD COUNTRY

We have had hydronic heat(Hurricane)since 2004 and have known many others that use it (Aqua-Hots too). What I have learned is that hydronic heating systems work very well (better than LP systems)while they are working properly but they are tempermental and break down a lot more than LP systems (IMO). If you get one, learn how to maintain it and life will be much better.

RE: No sink in toilet area?

We specifically look for an RV with the sink outside the commode room so that someone else can be using the sink while someone is in the commode room. It's called multi-tasking. The OP must use that single ply RV toilet paper. DITTO, but settled with sink in bathroom, and wish it wasn't. A sink elsewhere provides more flexibility, especially when one has to go and the other is using the sink area.

RE: water coming in entrance door from the top?

Had the same problem once and found wire going into coach from the top of MH for electric Girard awning was not sealed. Water migrated down through inside the door jam and accumulated on the floor. Sealed wire and problem solved. Good luck...

RE: GPS that allows you to pick EXACTLY what roads you want

if you know the rout you want why a gps.I do not under stand sorry. lenny Imagine a co pilot sitting next to you and at the exact right time always telling you what to do. Also imagine a small detail map sitting on the dash that is always being updated. If there is an issue with road closure, then within seconds the co-pilot has a different route and is showing you. You will never miss what you never had. Once you travel with a good GPS you will never go back to the old days. the bonus is estimated time of arrival, distance traveled, average speed, traffic, lane change in advance, etc, etc Not only that, you can search for restaurants, gas stations, rest stops, points of interests, etc closest you with most basic GPSs

RE: Lessons learned

I have learned that when I haven't been in my motorhome for a while, I really miss it. I have learned that enjoying the drive is as important as being there. I have learned that I will never follow another person in their motorhome. I will take my time and enjoy the trip. I have learned that if I couldn't fix everything on my motorhome I couldn't afford it. I have learned that almost everyone that camps in motorhomes is pretty nice either that or I have been very lucky. I have learned that when friends or relatives (that you like) camp with you it is much more fun. I have learned that a Leece Neville alternator can be replaced by a Delco Remy. I have learned that I love the fact that my wife misses the time in the RV as much as I do. "I have learned that if I couldn't fix everything on my motorhome I couldn't afford it." Good one! This is true for me too! Not to mention the major inconvenience of having to bring the coach into the shop.

RE: Lessons learned

Expect there to be something broken on the coach most of the time. Learn/try to fix stuff.

RE: Which Satellite Dish

We have the Pay-As-You-Go service from Dish. Use it for two weeks and only pay for two weeks. No fees when not using it. You must buy and install your own equipment. As far as I know, Direct doesn't offer this type of service. We don't have satellite at stick house.
