RE: Like / Dislike Raptor 365LEV12

I'm here. But coming from the other side.
We have a Cyclone 370C. Love the floorplan and its been quite fun for the first year. But we'll probably never get another one again.
Many, many, many "initial quality" issues. But what makes it worse is extremely poor customer service from Heartland. I understand many products have little bugs that have to be worked out but Heartland has been terrible with taking care of our needs for our first year of ownership. I have heard others say they've been pleased with Heartland but I've already told them when this Cyclone is gone, we're going to a Raptor, Fuzion, or Voltage.

So private means you can dicount the other 2,500 people that have been in it before you.........LMAO
LOL. Although not in the Midwest, Willow Tree near Myrtle Beach says they change the water out when a camper leaves.

Gilbert RV Insurance. Try them.
X2. They beat Progressive so bad, I felt I'd been getting ripped off.

RE: How can this be?

I've yet to weigh my TV loaded versus unloaded yet. But my front tires do always run 20-30 degrees hotter than the rears when towing. :h

RE: Ford 350 DRW

I have the 450 with air bags. In my opinion, there's little difference in ride with the bags. I try to keep them down to around the minimum of 5 psi when unloaded.
When towing, if anything the ride is stiffer. It takes quite a bit of air to bring my ride height up. The more air, the harsher the ride.
In my opinion, its a trade-off. Ride height or ride quality. Which one do you want?

Mounting Hardware in the Garage

I'm preparing to mount some aluminum shelves and bins in the garage of the Cyclone. This is the various type for holding tools, cans, etc..
Not exactly sure how and what to use? Obviously, I want it to be good and sturdy but I don't want to damage the camper. Any recommendations?

RE: Fort Wilderness

I think the reason you can't do it online is they usually don't have the next year's rates until we get closer to 2013. Call them and they'll likely give you the maximum rate for the season. Pay for just one night and when the 2013 rates come out, they'll adjust your prepayment and then you can pay for the rest.

RE: F-350 first 5ver tow

When pulling the Cyclone on the interstates during the summer, I always have oil temps in the upper 220s and the transmission temps are usually in 205-210 range.

RE: Funeral Edict?

If your lane was about to run out you should have stopped there until the funeral passed by. IMHO.
Its hard to completely picture this scenario without being there. But it sounds like I agree with sch911. Just go ahead and stop for the funeral procession. Especially if the other option is to break through their line.

RE: An East/West comparison for RVers...

I think all (if not, at least the vast majority) of NC state parks have electricity and water. Bath houses, too.
Dump station is located generally on the way out but of course, you can roll your blue poop cart up there if you need to.:)

He'll be missed. :)

I have a large salvage yard near me. It may be worth the drive to see if they want it. But I've had it laying in the barn for over a year now. Maybe one day.

RE: Cyclone 3800 Vs. Voltage

The warranty just expired this week on our Cyclone. Thank goodness we bought an extended warranty.
Of the three campers we've owned in our lifetime, our Cyclone has by far been the most expensive and least dependable. Heartland support has been terrible but our dealer has been great.
We will NOT be buying another Heartland product next time around.

RE: For those that think you don't need WD with a dually.

For heavers sake SOMEBODY answseer the question before he blows up :)
:B
Yes, but the WDH would have kept it straight and level as it turned over in the wind.
If you're going over, you at least want to look good doing it.

RE: Hauling Golf Carts & Tailgates

I want to haul my golf cart in the back of my Chevy 2500hd. Can the tailgate support the ramps while I drive up or should I remove the tailgate and put the ramps directly on the bed? Thanks.
Unless your cables for the tailgate are in poor condition, it should hold fine. I've done it quite often.

RE: costs between diesel Aux & Transfer tanks the same?

Price will vary based on size and design. Check out Northern Tool to look at some different sized and style models. I have the 90 gallon RDS with tool box and its perfect for me.

RE: Questions on aux fuel tank

I would think the fuel would keep OK. Diesel doesn't seem to go stale like gas does. Throw some stabilizer in there.
Like said before, that's a lot of weight. I know your truck can handle it but for some reason, I just wouldn't want to keep that much weight in the bed of my truck over six months at a time.
My auxiliary tank has a ball valve shut off right where it comes out of the tank. I wonder if there's a way to store that tank empty but being able to keep condensation out?

RE: To take 4-wheeler or not?

Outback ATV Park in Laurinburg is a good place to explore the trails. We have races there but its not a "track". Its just a place to go riding for miles and miles and its close to Raeford.
Outback
Busco Beach is also very popular. Its been featured in national ATV magazines. Again, just miles and miles of trails, mudholes, motocross tracks, and even a drag strip. Something for everyone.
Not sure what happened to the Busco Beach website but you can google it and see plenty plus several videos on youtube.
