RE: Stowing your satellite dish

My Direct TV HD dish came in yesterday and man that thing is bigger than I thought.
Did a search for topics related to storing the dang things and came up blank.
I don't have a big basement in my 5er so was wondering what clever ideas y'all might have come up with to tackle the issue.
my direct tv things (dish, arm, cable)goes in the very front area made for a gen.on my fifth wheel.

RE: CDL Drivers

Just a question to see how many of you RV'ers actually have a CDL. I just got my class B about two months ago. Even though its for straight trucks it gives me the ability to legally tow 10,001 pounds which my TT is at 9932 GVW.
have my class "A" with every thing except school bus for over 35 yrs even. did the TOUR BUS thing to most all major cites in north east the last 6-7 yrs.

RE: How do I measure for a slide-out cover?

Drats. Measured and checked online for prices: >$500. I think we'll stick with the ladder and broom method for a while.
how about a battery power leaf blower, works for me .

RE: Satellite Stand

you might look at this one if you have a smooth surface to place it on. it is a pair of glass suction cups from harbor freight with the stand bolted to.

RE: What to do with fresh water system b/t trips?

we just leave the water in the tank. its hidden under floor and above the bottom covering,so no light gets to it and nothing growes in there. in 3 years never had any thing go bad to water .

RE: Door screens question?

Theres a screen as seen on tv that velcros to the sides, and has a magnet/screen in the middle that lets you enter, and closes up. Has anyone used one of these? or are they a $20 dollar rip-off?
had one on my S & B House back in PA worked great for that situation.it was on a door way that held my swimming pool pump/filter

RE: Air brakes question on DP

The brakes are not going all the way down, they're just tough to press. I'm used to the typical hydraulic brakes in the car and my previous gas motor home. This one works, just takes more force. Going to take some getting used to.
I did the complete check list above and everything worked as outlined. No issues there.
that is the nature of air brakes .
