RE: slide outs

My owners manual says not to lube anything on the slide out mechanism.
Same here.

RE: Driving Question

Maybe you need another spot mirror so tht you have a better view of the right lane. Put the turn signal on to change lanes, and start to merge over.
Unless the driver to your right is the "typical clueless Californian" on their cell phone while drinking their Starbucks coffee...they'll get out of your way.
An additional side marker turn signal helps too.
Hey Ford, I wouldn't recommend merging blindly.

Silver Lake would fit the bill. :D

RE: Couple of water related questions

If the pump cycles on and off when a faucet is wide open, and little flow and pressure, I would check for flow restrictions somewhere from the pump to the outflow locations.

RE: Where Do I Start

Before I would purchase either, I would understand what type of vehicle is needed for what type of trailer. Then go from there.

RE: Slideout Question.

While parked at home, mine stays closed unless I have a specific reason for putting it out.

RE: Do I need slider or not?

I use my manual slider coming and going from my driveway. 90 degree turns maneuvering. Able to watch the road and not worry about what my front cap is doing. Most of the time when the front cap may be close to my truck cab, I'm needing to pay attention to things other than clearance.

RE: Teenager At Home and RVing

You are one of many people in the world who can't make decisions and over analyze most everything. Spending hours or days talking about a problem and assessing and responding to every reply is not normal.
Go buy the book "Who Moved the Cheese". It might help you realize the benefits of acting vs. thinking, talking, analyzing.

And the OP was told to disregard these types of critical comments. :) I say, very well said.

RE: dishes vs paper plates

WE have both, but normally use paper. Cuts down on fresh water usage.

RE: Extreme Water Conservation- Share your secrets?

We put plastic basins that fit in the kitchen sinks to catch all the wash water. The rinse water gets used again for wash and toilet.

Turn on the pump and see what happens. Won't hurt the pump.

If you have to ask, the answer is 0 nights.
That's right. When you ask forum members for their opinions regarding these types of family issues, the answer seem obvious to me also.

RE: camping grounds 100 from Sacramento ca

Head up I-80 and take 89 north at Truckee. Plumas, Lassen and Modoc National Forests have lakes and streams that can keep you busy for years and years.

RE: Question about parking camper on processed stone??

If you have generally moist soils in the area you can place some non- woven landscape fabric down between the soil and any gravels. This will keep the soils fine particles from mixing with and contaminating the gravels. 6-inches of some sort of graded stone, wheel rolled with proper moisture content should work just fine. I would check with a local gravel pit and find out what they sell to contractors for the rock that is put down just prior to the ac pavement layer for a structural section of a new paved road. That is what I would use. Around here, that would be called class 2 aggregate base rock, normally 3/4" minus with smaller size rock and crusher fines to help bind the rock with the right amount of water added.

I would head over to the coast and take hwy 101 north. I-5 is the direct truck route through the central west coast.

RE: Do You Disconnect The Battery

I installed a cut off switch for that very purpose. My T105's held their full charge over 4 months this winter. I will disconnect the batteries whenever they are not needed.
