RE: Vaccums

We use an upright Oreck, lightweight 8 lbs. It easily stores in our full length closet. It does a great job on carpet and hard surface - only downside -requires bag. We don't need to change the bag often, even sucking up cat hair, but we keep extra bags available. We also have an Oreck small canister vac - great for quick cleanups and all those rv nooks and crannies.

RE: Coach-net

The OP is new to rving and fulltiming, I was there a few years back. I don't know why they called or expect CoachNet to solve their hydraulic problem, but maybe folks here can give them a better understanding of CoachNet services and how to file a warranty claim with a dealer/maunfacturer. I have never had a warranty, always bought used and never bought an extended, so I can't help there.
I do have CoachNet. They are an Emergency Road Service, you call them when you are broken down, flat tire, etc. You can also call them to find nearby service centers. I am not sure what the 3-4 days was in reference to? CoachNet has been quick to respond the one time I needed them. could it be a matter of miscommunication? Your needs and expectations were not covered by CoachNet services?
This is a learning experience. Step back and replay from start to finish. What could you do different the next time you call CoachNet? Do you have a copy of your coach warranty? In the midst of a stressful situation, especially as a new fulltimer, it is hard to keep a sense of balance.
In spite of your rough start, have a wonderful time on the road. CoachNet is not perfect, but it has been there for thousands of us, hang in there.

Congrats on chasing down your leak, not an easy task. It sounds like you took a very logical approach, and kept digging until you found the trouble. Many happy camping days - rain or shine

RE: Argh- totally screwed up!

Lancaster area? Quite a few parks, might find one with a site. Poconos? We are currently in NJ - Clarksboro - Timberlane CG - not a resort, but a pool, batting cages, fishing pond. Good luck - keep trying

RE: NJ motorhome inspection

Yes, NJ required motorhome inspections. The station in Westville (by Gateway Regional) has 1 big rig lane - the OP has a sj location - Is there a current NJ sticker on the mh now? Does he have it registered and tagged? 2 weeks to get to inspection station.

RE: Yellowstone Park Visit

Jackson Hole and Grand Tetons can be accessed from Yellowstone's south entrance. Make reservations at Colter Bay RV Park - full hookups inside the park. There is a Colter Bay with no hookups, don't get confused. To get to Cody, exit Yellowstone's east entrance. There are several rv parks in and around Cody.
Do you have a route to Yellowstone yet? That would help with figuring out the most logical order to include Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Cody. You are about to see some beautiful country!!!

You might want to consider a stay at Blythe Island campground. We enjoyed our stay there. We took day trips to Jekyl and Simons -

RE: For those who visit Ocean City Maryland

You might want to try the other Ocean City - the one in NJ. They just rejected a BYOB, in order to remain family friendly. Downside, there is no camping on or near the beach -

Let me get this straight - you would rather sit on a seat that who knows how many other strangers butts have sat on instead of using your own toilet?

RE: RV Boot Camp for spouse

Yes, by all means encourage your wife to learn to drive. If you can't find an instructor, do what I did. Found a large, empty parking lot (in my case, the local university - summer) , put out some cones to define turns and campsites, etc. Practice, practice, practice. Then, once she learns, make sure she continues to get behind the wheel and drive - even if it is just from one rest area to the next - it is important for her confidence and skill to drive.

RE: EZ pass questions

OP back. Thanks to those that suggested the I Pass, I got it in the mail last week. One quick phone call, good customer rep, and I am all set. I never knew about the I Pass, how I love this forum. I have used it in the toad for several trips up and down the NJ Turnpike - miserable road, wonderful pass.
thanks again

RE: Need recommendations for camping resorts open during winter

Timberlane CG in Clarksboro, NJ is open year round, full hookups. The outdoor pool is closed, of course - it is not a resort type cg. But it is close to Philly for day trips - lots to do there.

RE: Coeur D'Arlene, Idaho Campgrounds

I made reservations at Blackwell Island for late July-early Aug, based on rvparkreviews. There is a festival of some sort the 1st weekend in Aug, 3,4,5? Could make cg's full if that is your time frame. I have never been to the area, can't wait to get there.
