RE: 5th Wheel Fixed

All this info makes me so glad I ordered my 5er from Crossroads RV. Sure there have been some issues, but they have stepped up to the plate every single time an issue has arisen; even replacing 7 year old graphics because they became aware of faulty vinyl. The dealer and I had to split the sheets because of poor workmanship (when they would finally do something), but CRV takes my calls, listens to proposed mods, and wants feedback on how to improve. I've heard good stories about other mfg's also (Jayco, Open Range, AF....) and I honestly believe if one listens there will always be lemons and roses with every brand available. Pin box height, truck rail height and axle height are so variable due to different brands and combo's that 5er mfg's can't possibly make a unit that will fit all. After receiving mine, I decided to take the Lippert PB off, install a TrailAir PB, latched into a SuperGlide hitch, sitting in a 2500HD 4x4. This combo required installation of 3" box steel between the axles and spring mounts to level the 5er to the truck while maintaining minimum truck rail distance. That's really not uncommon, but then all of a sudden that first step to get into the 5er was a stretch - which a 4th step resolved. There have been a couple other minor major issues, but as others have said; if you are a "handy person" then owning an RV is just another learning opportunity. Sometimes it does take some heavy duty equipment and brains to go with the brawn though; so I'm handicapped. If you're not a "handy person" find a really good dealer and be nice to them!

RE: Have you seen this?

Oh Wow .... I've always wanted to be able to parallel park my 5er and truck in downtown Seattle ! :)
