RE: Are trailer manufacturers unionized?

Except our own government. lets give manufacturing companies some more tax breaks to move their businesses out of the country. They keep telling us about all the jobs created but they don't tell us that all the jobs are in Mexico, or China, or India. You can't blame unions for that.

RE: Are trailer manufacturers unionized?

Unions good or bad ? 40 hour work week, thank a union, weekends, thank a union, retirement plans, thank a union, 401's thank a union, health plan, thank a union. If you think big business would give you all of this you must be living on another planet.

RE: Eternabond on roof seams

I love Eternabond tape I have a plastic rain barrel that someone used for a saw horse and you guessed it they cut it. I used Eternabond tape on the cut and no more leaks, been three years now. I also used it on the inside of our dishwasher on a crack in the door and it is still in place after four years Try that with caulk.

RE: Are the Gilla Cliff Dwellings in New Mexico RV accessible?

Go east on 180 to 152 to 35 to 15.
You will miss the worst of the twist and turns. I went there last year. We traveled up the 15 and it was a very pretty ride but also very tiring, and we were in a rental car. We came back to Silver City via the route shown above. It is about the same drive time either way but it is longer going the 180 to 152 route

RE: Pie Crust help please!

This is the best pie crust ever. You can buy some very small bottles of vodka , a half pint will make several pies

RE: Pie Crust help please!

This is the recipe my wife uses. It is from Cooks Illustrated.
WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
Since water bonds with flour to form gluten, too much of it makes a crust tough. But rolling out dry dough is difficult. For a pie dough recipe that baked up tender and flaky and rolled out easily every time, we found a magic ingredient: vodka. Using vodka, which is just 60 percent water, gave us an easy-to-roll crust recipe with less gluten and no alcohol flavor, since the alcohol vaporizes in the oven.
FOR ONE 9-INCH DOUBLE-CRUST PIE
Vodka is essential to the texture of the crust and imparts no flavor—do not substitute. This dough will be moister and more supple than most standard pie doughs and will require more flour to roll out (up to 1/4 cup).
INGREDIENTS
2 1/2cups unbleached all-purpose flour (12 1/2 ounces)
1teaspoon table salt
2tablespoons sugar
12tablespoons cold unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks), cut into 1/4-inch slices
1/2cup chilled solid vegetable shortening , cut into 4 pieces
1/4cup vodka , cold
1/4cup cold water
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Process 1 1/2 cups flour, salt, and sugar in food processor until combined, about 2 one-second pulses. Add butter and shortening and process until homogenous dough just starts to collect in uneven clumps, about 15 seconds (dough will resemble cottage cheese curds and there should be no uncoated flour). Scrape bowl with rubber spatula and redistribute dough evenly around processor blade. Add remaining cup flour and pulse until mixture is evenly distributed around bowl and mass of dough has been broken up, 4 to 6 quick pulses. Empty mixture into medium bowl.
2. Sprinkle vodka and water over mixture. With rubber spatula, use folding motion to mix, pressing down on dough until dough is slightly tacky and sticks together. Divide dough into two even balls and flatten each into 4-inch disk. Wrap each in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 45 minutes or up to 2 days.

RE: Looking for a Campground in York or Lancaster Counties in PA

Lake in Wood in Bowmansville, Pa They are not open year round ( they shut off the water ) but you can go there year round as they have heated bathhouse that are usable in the winter.
I had a park model there for 7 years.

Is there anyone camping in the Lancaster area? I was wondering how road conditions in that area are.

RE: Dry dog food vs. canned??

We feed our dog Blue Buffalo, a little of both canned and dry. I think you get a more balanced diet that way.
