RE: Black Hills Whisperin Pines CG

We stayed there for 5 days a few years ago and found it quite nice. It was very quiet and relaxing.
Paul
Thanks, that is what my friend told me.

RE: No water coming through the Hot Water Line

just for the record, on Fleetwoods your hot water will not work if your outside faucets are in the open position with the shower valve in the closed position. Don't ask why, just accept as a simple truth.:h Outside faucets ? The only outside faucet we have is the shower (outside) faucet. Useless item as we have never used it in any rv we owned. Would be afraid too anyhow as they are made so cheaply. All they are good for is to leak..But then we dont own a Fleetwood.
Yes the shower head has knobs where the shower extends and they must be in the closed position. This just my humble experience which I have shared with many others to solve their hot water issue. :R
That shower valve should have been opened if you winterized.

RE: Fleetwood RV Tour

Why not attend the Fleetwood national ralley at Goshen IN Fairgrounds the last week in June. Check Fleetwood RV website for details. We will be there with 300 other happy owners. Plan to take tour as well.
BTW Fleetwood will fix two items at no labor and wholesale parts.

RE: Interstate 80 road condition

You might check out US route six western IL to 80. In and IL on 80 are not bad roads if you pick your times.

I am not able to find any reviews on the above campground on RVparkreviews. Wondering if any of you travelers have first hand knowledge. Found website but no real pics. Recommended by a friend.

RE: 06 acura mdx

Thanks for the info Clay. My wife and i did purchase the acura and i will follow the instructions to the tee when towing. Thanks again.
I assume that you are out of warranty...if not, you will be when you set it up for towing. We towed our 02 MDX but did not buy a new one because of the change. They will not stand behind the vehicle unless it states the procedure in the current manual for your car. I know nothing changed from 02 but it is their warranty.

RE: $100k Budget, Hydronic Heating, Quality Coach

You should be able to find an American coach 2004 or older in that price range with hard looking.

RE: Generator will not stay running?

No one has yet mentioned level of coolant. If it is low, the gen will start, run up to higher temp and then shut down. Added coolant and it ran just fine. Got that hint in the manual.
Coolant? Nowhere in the manual does it discuss coolant? Does anyone else have volant and where would you check it?
I poured antifreeze in my Onan Diesel 7500 and it has run ever since. Sorry I posted my personal experience. Wonder where that coolant went?? :S

RE: Class A motor home vs. car for trip out west

If the op is asking a serious question, I would suggest take the car...and sell the motorhome! If not now, whenever will you justify owning a mh??

Rt 160 east of Durango is a different story with Wolfe Creek Pass looming on the horizon. Even that can be handily negotiated with care.

RE: We usually don't stay at Walmart

I would definately pick a different meeting spot based up ND RV parking issues. How about Fargo or Detroit Lakes, MN?? Why get into the oil boom hassles when on a trip of a lifetime.

We just keep the home channels with dedicated RV receiver and get the locals on digital over the air tv. The broadcast locals are often sharper picture than sat.
