I've been to a couple of them back 15 or 20 years ago and liked both of them. One was Cloudland Canyon, south of Chattanooga, and I believe the other was Fort Mountain.

Your local library may have Kindle books available for checkout. Our library is part of the Southwest Michigan Digital Library. I've found some good books there.
Right now in the Mystery and Suspense category, they list 238 novels with 84 available. The rest of the novels have people on a waiting list for them.
You can check one out for two weeks. After the two weeks, you can renew it if no one is on a waiting list for it. Otherwise you go back on a waiting list before you can download it again.
There's over 1500 books in the fiction section and 335 in nonfiction.

A lot of HD locals are not listed on the linked site.
There is a complete list from a source that is not trying to sell anything.
I have it, I just have to find it.

what are the symptoms of failing capacitors, in flat screen Tv's. Would this be the "flickering" I have read about?
I believe it's a clicking sound that will continue for several seconds.
Possibly as long as a minute before the TV turns on, if then.

In our area, with the high rates you have to pay for HD, you don't get the local stations in HD. That is ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. That makes up 75% of our watching. I called them, and they had no plans to do anything about it. I have to pay for an antenna and hook it up to get the HD locally. Of course I get the cooking shows and some others for my extra money. It is tempting to just go with the antenna.

Ditto on Indiana Dunes State Park.
Indiana Dunes
Dune Park Station is about a mile from the State Park entrance with 8 trains on weekdays and 5 on weekends. Less than 1 1/2 hours to downtown.
Campground was rebuilt a few years ago. Great beach although you have to either walk or drive to get to it from campground.

Van Buren may not be what you want as you see by the map.

The B Band Converters should have come with the receiver and need to be used with that dish. I believe later units, such as the HR-23 had the BBC built in.

According to this all you can use any one of the 4 outputs. I believe the multiplexers would be for more than 4 tuners.

Prior to last May, we were paying $15.89, which included tax, for 2 DVD's out at a time. In May, I suspended the account for 3 months. In August it was started again and the charge was $21.18. I went in and looked at my account, and saw that they had added streaming. I changed my account back to just the 2 DVD's out at a time. My monthly charge is now $12.71 including tax.
I like Netflix. Over the last 26 or 27 months, I've had maybe 5 or 6 that were damaged and the same number that wouldn't play. I notified Netflix through their web site and had replacements sent out the next day.
Considering the number of movies I get each month, they're losing money on me.

RE: DirecTV Satellites - What's actually on each Satellite?
Any idea which satellite the Guide comes over?
I believe it's on both the 101 and 119 satellites.
Apparently, a 5 LNB dish does not "see" 101, if the receiver is tuned to a HD channel on the 103 satellite. In that case, the Guide comes from the 119 satellite.

Free HBO/Cinemax This Weekend On Directtv
Free weekend of HBO and Cinemax on Directv this weekend September 23 to 26th.
They usually start at 6 AM EDT on Friday morning and run to 6 AM EDT on Monday morning.

Did it ever work?
The 300 feet cable length may be your problem. Not only do you need to get a signal from the dish to the receiver, you need to get power to the LNBs from the receiver.
