RE: broken a/c shroud

Depends on the shroud but for my model PPL had a price as good as any. It's best to get a model and serial number of the AC because there are many makes and models.

We have used this one by Saris. Has some nice features and no frame contact, easy to operate, expensive too :( ...but I like it. CLICKY

RE: Offensive Good Sam Advertising

This ia the dumbest discussion I've ever seen here. Throw the dang mail out and don't show it to your neighbors if it's offensive to you. Ya gotta lighten up!!

RE: Thanks to fed. regs, say bye bye to the Ford Ranger

"I'm on the side of the fence with oil producers... And the steel producers, and the electronics producers, and the tire producers, and the glass producers, and every other form of commerce that is associated with the manufacturing of American products. If these pillars of industry were to have their hands unshackled by senseless regulatory oppression and allowed to do what they do best, we would be a very productive and prosperous society, and a MIGHTY force for the rest of the world to reckon with." Crashpilot------SO WELL SAID. Regulations from this administration are killing jobs in every sector. We have a solution to this problem....Vote!

RE: Single sink RVs - how do you make it work?

The new trend seems to be having one sink instead of two. It looks cool and European, but... How do you wash dishes with only one sink? :@Frankly, I don't think they are all that "cool", I don't know where that comes from, that just because it's European, it must be cool, small, round, & totally useless, wouldn't have one. I don't think it's practical or "cool". If it's European, I'm sure the B.O. crowd is in love with it!

RE: Cold Weather in a Class C

My rig came with a lightweight pleated curtain which closes off coach from cab. This helps a little. When it gets colder, I drape an old wool army blanket there in addition to the curtain. The biggest help is my bubble-wrap cab window covers. I use a purchased folding one for the windshield and homemade pop-ins for the sides (cut from a roll of Reflectix using a paper pattern which I made by pressing it into the window area and drawing around it; cut slightly larger than pattern and you can just push them into the window and they stay there). These keep out heat, cold, and prying eyes. I use them whenever the rig is parked. Ditto here for me...curtain and the Reflectix bubble stuff. In cold weather, it really makes a difference.

RE: Do You Use Your Toad for storage?

Yes.....I have towed the car just to carry the bikes and the extras knowing that I probably wouldn't be using the car once at my destination. It's my cargo trailer at times.

RE: Macerator Pump for Black Water Tank

My Class C has a very low black tank valve (about 8" from the ground). My BlueBoy is 11" at the top valve...well the stuff doesn't flow up hill so the macerator allows me to pump the stuff into the BlueBoy when I'm without hookups. A 2 foot section of 3/4" hose is all I need to go from the macerator/black valve to the BlueBoy. Works really well.

RE: Cable Wall Plate w/ 12v

I would caution you on using the appropriate wall plate for your application. Here's a thread that discusses proper fit and type that may be of value 12 volt wall plate

RE: Coachnet RV insurance..........

With your Monaco Class A, I think you should look at Coachnet or Good Sam and forget about AAA. AAA does not service RV's in many areas of the country. Coachnet contracts with specific service providers that can handle large RV's along with other service benefits that are of value to the RV owner. JMO

Are you looking for a portable fire pit ring? If so, google that for many links.

RE: No Water Pressure

I might first take a look at your check valve where you attach your hose. The O-Ring may have come off and disldged the valve so as to block flow. You have to remove the fitting from the side and access from the back side. There's a sping in there too that needs to function properly.

RE: New feature - Maybe best upgrade for boondocking?

So you're filling your system with lake water? I don't think I want that in my pipes or tank. Maybe a bucket of green lake water to flush & seal the gasket.

RE: Ford E450 Hub Cap Nut

Thanks Vicrv....that's the one. I looked around and in spite of Dicor's $15 freight charge on a 1 oz., $6.50 item, if you're buying several they still may figure a few dollars cheaper than a couple of RV dealers. They "got ya" so what ya gonna do? Appreciate your help.

Ford E450 Hub Cap Nut

I'm looking for a source for the nut(2)(screw on type) that holds the stainless steel liner on my 16" wheels. Not sure of the liner brand but anything close look-wise that fits the lug will work for me. Any ideas where I could find these?
