RE: Rodent Free Winter!

I haven't taken the cover off yet, but we did get into the coach today and did a pretty thorough inspection and found nothing. I've got to give mama cat a reward. she's done a good job this winter, First time ever, that we haven't found some evidence of mice.

RE: height measurement for Class A

Mine is listed at 12'3", which is measured to the top of the AC. The radio antennas may be a couple inches higher, but they are flexable, so not much to worry about. One of the first things I ever did was measure it myself. 12'3 1/2"' I made a little sign for my dasboard that says 12'6" and whatever is is in meters (as we travel in Canada sometimes). Interstate highway minimum height is 13'6". Major secondary roads are normally the same, with an occasional lower clearence. I've nevre run into a low clearence that wasn't well marked. with that said, I've also seen folks in deep trouble because either they wern't paying attention, or ??????
Hope this may help. My best suggestion would be to measure your unit yourself. That's the only way you're going to be certain what your height is.
Enjoy your travels.

Take I695 EAST around Baltimore - a lot less traffic than the West side.

RE: Locations of Diesel fuel on RT 84, 78, 278 etc

I78 in New Jersey at Exit 7. There are two good sized truck stops - easyon/off, and the price is normally lower than anywhere else. There's also a truck stop at the next exit (exit3) but we prefer the ones at exit 7.
Good luck,
John

RE: Ripped Cover

I've got a couple of duct taped repairs that are into their 3rd winter. I put the duct tape both inside and out, to make the repair. It adds a measure of thickness and durability.

Yup, both listed in my signature, and when we're at home, we're apt to have a couple of cats also. The more the merrier !

Also Chevy Cavaliers and Malibus and their Pontiac counter parts. We have an '03 Cavalier that we've been towing since new with no problems what-so-ever.

RE: Refurbed computer from Best Buy, to replace 6 yr old machine

FWIW, I've had very good luck with Dell's outlet store on line. I've bought 2 new and 2 refurb'd from them with absolutely no issues.
I also agree with the previous poster's comments on the lack of support from Best Buy after the sale.

RE: Replacement of Engines, Transmissions, & Generators

Our first Class C was 17 yo when we bought it. It had had a new engine installed at 55K miles - 15K before we bought it. We rec'd detailed history with that MH, and that was the only major mechanical issue she had ever had. We have also tried to keep detailed receipts, repair histories for any of our MH's, for the benefit of any subsequent owners.
