RE: Montana 5th wheels

I'm trying to get someone that will price a 3582RL Big Sky that comes in under the price of a Landmark Key Largo. I'm afraid by the time you add up all the options to come close to the features of a Landmark it will be over by 5 grand at least. For 65 grand I would expect something bigger than a 19" TV in the bedroom

RE: Montana 5th wheels

For me to full time in a RV it would have to have a mega bath. These shower stall for a 6'4" guy makes it miserable to take a decent shower. Any Montanas got the bigger shower 64" x 33"?

RE: Dish Network Question For Techies

I have had the 625 I believe is the receiver we have used in the past but wanting to make the switch to HD so the 722 will be new to our RV soon. Call me picky but when we hit the road I unplug and lay the unit on our bed to absorb the bounces and it has worked well for me.
TechWriter...it is the dish pro plus LNB with the logo on the lnb. Thank you very much for the info. I have that same seperator on the back of my old 625 so I can just use it!!!!!

RE: Dish Network Question For Techies

The outside dish says Dish HD on it and is black and the LNB says DP plus on it if that helps

Dish Network Question For Techies

OK I am a long time Dish user and have a 722 receiver in my house and want to add a 722 to my RV. I will want to take advantage of the dual tuner and have the ability to watch two different broadcasts at once. Bought a new HD dish on ebay and it has a 3 LNB's labeled 1, 2, 3, line in. I don't know much about this stuff other than the dish is for the western sky and the 110, 119, and 129 satalites. My question is what do i need to run just one coax wire to the 722 receiver in the RV and what connectors on the LNB do I connect to? Thanks in advance

RE: New to Toy Haulers advice needed

I would suggest you also look at Montana fivers. I own one and am prejudiced towards them but believe me, you will get a quality fiver. Take a look and see what you can find. You will be pleased. Mine has all the amenities I could want. The newer 2013's have the level up system you are wanting. I got 38% off of MSRP when buying mine for about $60,000. new. Montana has a very good reputation and is the best selling trailer for over 10 years running!
Look online at the RV Station in Nacadoches, Texas where I got mine. They have internet deals and will definitely deal with you. They are very laid back and want you to be happy with your fiver.
I hope this helps.
They make toyhaulers now????:h

RE: OK silly generator question???

No don't have one...was just thinking the remote start advantage would be negated by having to go outside and re plug RV in. Wasn't sure if throwing the breaker was enough. Doesn't the RV's on board battery charger come on at all times?

OK silly generator question???

You know you are not supposed to start a generator under load then what is the advantage of the Champion going to remote start? Aren't you still going to have to go outside and unplug and start then replug? Or did is there a delay built into the generator? Sorry for a dumb question in advance

RE: Air lifts for 2011 Ford F250 Superduty 6.7L Diesel

I am having a very difficult time finding a service center to install air bags on the rear of my truck. The fifth wheel hitch seems to be and issue. I live in Spring, Tx which is approximately 35 miles north of downtown Houston. My nearest RV centers are 1.5 hours away. I have tried the major tire service centers and a couple of truck accessory shops. I would appreciate any recommendations. I ordered Air Lifts and they were the wrong model for the already installed fifth wheel hitch.
You didn't mention if you vehicle was a DRW. Heard the air bags don't fit that well on the DRW.
OP says F250

I guess for me the wide track front end and the much better turning radius was a plus for the 450

RE: Keyless RV Lock by JT Guardian

Have seen their advertisement in mags and online. Never noticed them in use on any units I've looked at. They've been around for a while, so I'm sure it is a quality item. It looks robust.
You didn't ask for opinions, but mine is that the OEM door lock is probably the most secure thing on the whole trailer, and I'm not looking for an improvement in that area. And another wireless FOB to carry is the last thing I need.
No..I welcome opinions. But in my opinion, the door lock is not the most secure thing on my RV. Almost every door lock used in an RV has a master key. This makes it easy for an RV salesperson to not have to carry around every key for every RV on the lot while showing units to customers. And it helps to keep costs down for the manufacturer since only a few lock combinations need to be made. But if anyone else less trustworthy were to get their hands on this master key, they could easily duplicate it and have access to your RV. Also have you heard of "lock bumping"? Look it up on youtube. Why crawl through a window when it takes a thief 10 seconds to walk through your front door?
If you would look at the website, they offer a keypad that would eliminate the need to carry a FOB.

RE: So torn, fifth wheel with bunks or toy hauler

Depends on the age of the kids. We happen to have 3 teenage boys who still love to camp with us. Try fitting a 6' teenager in those tiny bunks in a bunkroom in a fiver. In our TH they have their own bedroom, and the back garage has a half bath for them to get to.
