RE: Rt 35 Oregon I 84 to Mt Hood Village Resort

I was not looking at going over White Pass, just wanted to compare roads (35 & 12). I have traveled 12 before and know what to expect. I have never been on 35 so I was looking for a comparison.
Thanks for the input.

RE: Rt 35 Oregon I 84 to Mt Hood Village Resort

I have chains but want to leave them in the bag.
How would 35 compare to Rt 12 through White Pass?

RE: Rt 35 Oregon I 84 to Mt Hood Village Resort

I will be coming from the east and towing a 30ft trailer. Yes I have towed on I84 in strong wind before (going to Seaquest State park). THe wind was so bad it took my spare tire cover off. Have not had a problem towing. I was wondering about the hills and holding up traffic and what everyone thought of towing on that stretch of 35.

Rt 35 Oregon I 84 to Mt Hood Village Resort

We are heading to Mt Hood Village Resort on Rt 26 in Oregon. I will be traveling on I 84 but was wondering the best route towing a trailer. I have one set of directions telling me Rt 35 from Hood River and another telling me to go to Troutdale and hooking up to Rt 26. I think Rt 35 is a narrow road with a pass.
Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Creek Side 26RLS by Outdoor RV - Your thoughts...

We bought this model and so far like it very much. Only have been out once with it but have several trips planned. We went from an RVisin TS25S to this trailer and like the additional room.

RE: New Creekside 26RLS

That park looks interesting. Never have stayed there. We did go to Winchester. Nice park but mainly geared toward fishing. Non motorized lake. Lots of folks rowing or using trolling motors.
We normally try to limit normal weekend to 3 hrs travel time. Long weekend we will travel further. Also an early exit on a long weekend we'll go a ways.
Spokane is a good center for travel. Lots of options.

RE: New Creekside 26RLS

Seaquest is by Mt St Helens. We went there a couple of years ago and was rained on all weekend but we still had a good time. Could not see the mountain. We're hoping for better weather in the fall.
We have not camped in the Blues yet. Spend most of our time in Idaho.
We're looking for some cooler spots in the summer. Not much fun camping when it's 100 out.
Not camping but we're in Spokane for Bloomday in a couple of weeks.

New Creekside 26RLS

We just took our new Creekside 26RLS on its maiden voyage. Had a great weekend with 3 dogs. We owned an R Vision TS25S before. The new trailer has more room and a lot heavier thant he old one. Towed fine with the Dodge truck. Looking forward to many trips.
Any other Creekside or Outdoor Mfg owners?
