RE: Shaw Direct

Shaw no longer supplies the second dish for free. However they did send the larger dish for better reception when in the south. I think they charged me about $125.00. The mount for the dish is larger than standard so I had to modify the tripod by placing a piece of PVC pipe over the standard pipe. Icechip

RE: tow dolly or tow bar

I have a dolly and recently purchased a 2010 Ford Edge FWD so I have the option of dolly towing or 4 down in the future when I get around to the base plates and tow bar, braking system etc. I have always read of the pain in the butt exercise of bending down to strap down the vehicle and was somewhat in agreement till I purchased my current motorhome with 4 slides. Let me tell you that the amount of bending and crawling around to get into the bays with the shorter doors on this coach is as bad or worse than any bending to strap down the car. This is just my opinion.

snowbird ol timers hockey

Just wondering if there is any hockey being played in Arizona or RGV by us old fellas. Don't want to keep my equipment and haul it around the country for no reason. Icechip

RE: Battery Tender Plus Question

Yes, they will keep 2 batteries charged. I currently have my battery tender connected to six, 2 chassis and 4 house batteries in the motorhome. Light is green and voltage is 13.5 V. The trick is to ensure the batteries are fully charged before you connect the tender. This is the second winter I have run with this setup. I have a jumper cable between the coach and chassis batteries.

RE: Bell Express Vue

Why is it that Bell can use the CRTC "in Canada only" statement as an excuse and Shaw(Starchoice is not bound by the same CRTC rule. My opinion is that Bell made a deal with Dish that they would not encroach on other as they use the same satellite technology. As for having your phone connected to a phone line so Bell can check on the system every couple months this is false. I know of several people who have had Bell for years and never been connected to a phone line. They hope you do connect so you will be enticed to use the instant pay-per-view function thru the phone system. This may have changed now so that you have to enable this funtion as many people found their children had ordered events without consent in years past. No parental locks on.

RE: Solutions?-Scraping Front Bumper Unloading From Stehl Dolly

Try placing a couple 2 X 6 boards under the point where the ramps contact the ground to reduce the angle of the ramps. Leave about 12"'s of ramp exposed for tires to exit ramp.

RE: Stop e-mail large file downloads

See if your provider has a webmail feature, you could then see the size of the files waiting on the server and delete those you don;t want. Also there is a free program called MailWasher which loads your headers, shows the size of the files and allows you to delete any you don't want. It also has the ability to add certain senders or whole domains to a spam list. Charlie
