RE: Major question? Which phone number?

Get a new number from Google Voice. You can port your old number or get a brand new number. With a couple of clicks on Google Voice you can program the new number to ring your cell phone and your land line at the same time. Pretty slick. Google Voice will transcribe voice mails and send you an email. You can listen to someone leaving a voice mail and then decide whether to take the call.

WFCO T-30 Automatic Transfer Switch

Just thought if anyone was considering this I would post my results.
The heat in Texas in the summer is unbearable. My 5th wheel sits under a roof but gets extremely hot. On the way to New Braunfels last July it got even hotter. Record heat and only one AC which is the bigger unit. Came up with the great idea of putting both Honda 2000's in the bed of my truck and running the AC on the way to the campground. Added a Marinco 30 amp outlet to the front of the 5th wheel. I have a 8900 series WFCO converter. The T-30 ATS switch is made for this unit. The switch has rails and two small tabs. The Transfer Switch slides onto the rails at the rear of the converter and two screws in the converter hold the unit tight. There are three sets of posts in the switch, shore, generator and panel. It was very easy to wire and pretty fool proof. I have not tried it with the generator yet but it worked fine when I moved the shore power cord from the side to the new inlet. It also has a 30 second delay to give the generator time to stabilize. Under $60 online.

RE: Routing of lines for air bags

Before I purchased my compressor I actually used the holes for the license plate bolts. Put a chrome cap on the fittings and it looked good. I did not have to drill any holes.

RE: Bikes On Front Of Truck/If You Do, How Do You Like?

Just bought a new bike rack at Wally World. It's a two bike rack made by Reese. It's callEd a Sportwing. It rides very low in front of my F250. I used it last weekend and it worked great.

RE: want to buy new wheels

I bought mine at Discount Tire. They even mounted two different size LT tires to see which ones fit the best. I bought nice shiny rims, really changed the look.

RE: Help with Cable Hook ups

My buddie's Wildcat is wired that way. If I remember correctly you leave the jumper in place while using park cable or the rooftop antenna. If you have a sat dish hooked up, then the jumper is removed and the sat receiver substitutes for the jumper by using two short cables.

RE: Hunter Suburban Help We R Freezing

Sorry it took this long to get back to you. We did not actually freeze,my buddy had an electric ceramic heater. We did have to turn the generator off at 10:30 due to quiet hours at the Balloon Fiesta, but we got it comfortable before the quiet hour. The furnace is either a SF 20, 25, 30, 35 or 42. Ifound the wiring diagram. There are 4 wires coming out of the furnace. The diagram shows two wires going to the thermostat. KZ decided to send three. KZ tied the yellow wire which is 12 volts negative to the white thermostat wire. Not knowing that is was a ground wire I attached the white wire to the white terminal. I'm assuming that when the relay clicked it sent 12 volts + to 2 volts - and blew the thermostat or popped an internal fuse. One of the wires that is supposed to go to the thermostat is blue, KZ attached this to the red thermostat wire. It is 12 volts + and is correct since my AC works. The other blue wire was attached to the green thermostat wire. I have now attached it to the white terminal. I'm assuming it should get 12 volts + when set to heat however it is not working. I need to buy a new thermostat and try it again.

Hunter Suburban Help We R Freezing

I did the Hunter digital thermostat conversion. AC works great. We traveled from Texas to New Mexico and now we need heat. There are three wires coming from the Suburban furnace. A white a red and a green. The red wire is 12 volts positive. It is attached to the Rh Rc with jumper. The white wire is connected to the white terminal and I did not connect the green wire to anything. When the thermostat is set to heat I hear the relay click on and then nothing. Any ideas?

RE: Front CURT receiver project (installed pics page 3-4)

I have the same hitch and love it. What I didn't love was the install. The bolts that go through the ends of the leaf springs were a PITA to get loose. Broke some tools finally took the truck to my mechanic. He had to use wrenches cuz the air powered tools would not touch it. The bolts do not have to come out, but the nut on the end does have to come off. Good Luck!

RE: WINEGARD SENSAR PRO SIGNAL STRENGTH METER

I just installed the Sensar Pro and I think I'm going to like it. It has several features that the factory amp does not have. I also have the Wingman installed on the antenna. I ran the first scan and numerous channels came in. I noticed that I did not pick up my Fox channel. My RV is in covered but not enclosed storage. I brought up my location on antennaweb.org and determined that I was 35.2 miles from the station. The Sensar pro has an adjustable gain feature. I turned the gain all the way up and re ran my scan. Fox came in strong. Antennaweb.org also gives you the RF channel numer, which is displayed on the Sensar Pro and the actual channel that will be displayed on your TV.

RE: RedMax Pro #3: I'm a Believer

I'm no expert either, but I did apply RPM to my 9 year old fiberglass tonneau cover for my F-250. I had tried everything to bring back the shine. I tried rubbing compounds. I tried an orbital buffer. I wet sanded the entire lid with 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper. I took the lid to a paint and body shop and they stated they could repaint my lid for $600.00. I only paid $600 for it in 2002. I saw several posts about this stuff, so I thought WTH, the lid looks like crap, so I gave it a try. The lid now shines and I'm out only elbow grease and the cost of the RPM. I have a problem area on the top front of my 5th wheel, so when I get some time I'll treat it too.

How are your axle ratings? If under both axle ratings of your truck, I would not worry too much and go camping. My 02 cents.

RE: Hunter Thermostat Help

Got it fixed just in time. Texas A & M University tailgating starts next weekend. The red wire was a source of confusion. I have one red wire from the furnace and one from the rooftop ac. The red wire from the furnace is 12 volts positive. The red wire from the ac is the low speed fan. Also the ac needed the blue wire to be grounded, I could not just let it hang. One of the wires from the heater was a ground wire. Behind the thermostat I connected the green ground wire from the furnace to the blue wire. Thanks to everyone that tried to help!

RE: Hunter Thermostat Help

The above referenced document is what I used for my installation. Where does the voltage originate? Is the voltage supplied by the thermostat or the AC unit?
