RE: Ford owns it's logo again!

OK, it's early and I couldn't resist. Did Ford buy back ownership of their Blue Oval from Cummings??? :B :B What/who is Cummings? :h Only the best Diesel motor out there. Best? no such motor as a 'cummings'

RE: Sorry state of fuel in North America

Well, I thought only diesel was filtered at most retail outlets. Never seen a filter on a gas pump! I also have never seen a filter on a gas pump but I have also never seen anyone replacing filters regardless of type of fuel. I stopped at a station where new pumps were being installed and asked about filters. Guy doing the installing said they have filters in the top section before the nozzle. Husky truck stops in Canada have big uns and they change them daily ,at least my local one does. Truckers see and pass on the knowledge- good for business

Lay some spring traps under the engine compartment (rat size), bait with peanut butter. Are they after salt?

RE: Thinking of downgrading

Overkill ? Is that like a car with 300hp when you only need 30 hp to do 60 mph? Dont worry about 'overkill'. It does a job no car can do and tows when you need to. listen to 45 ricochet

RE: F-150: eco boost or 6 liter V8 ?

I am an EcoBoost fan, but there have been a few reports of overheating in certain conditions -- like towing up grades in hot weather. Overheating while towing We'll see if there are more this summer. Like I said it will de fuel before it overheats.

RE: F-150: eco boost or 6 liter V8 ?

it's funny that people think the ecoboost has to scream around at 6000 rpm to keep up with the v8's. You can tell who has driven one, and who hasn't. Who said that?? I am sure it will chug along at lower RPM's than my truck climbing my 13 mile grade that increases 6,500 ft....I just want to see how it does in 110 degree heat over, and over, and over again. It's this I worry about and have read a few (yes just a few) instances where the truck had some problems. And even my tired V8 only has to push along at 3,400 RPM to make max torque, so I think it can stick around a few more years being paid for........ It will 'de fuel' before you can hurt it.They think of all the easy ways to hurt a engine and prevent it and test it. There are a few cases croping up of the CAC letting water (condensation) into the intake, caused by slow (60 mph) light load and high humidity for long distances. wait for the flash but high, hot hard running ? bring it

RE: 2014 silverado first look (camo d)

Does the rear door seem bigger? and what is the canister under the frame just in front of the rear wheel? fuel tank or cat? they state the exhaust points to a new engine? which one would that be? Considering the versatility of the GM LS engine platform it could be anything. I am hoping for a 400hp engine in the 7.0L range, but looking at past history tells me not to expect anything close to 7.0L. GM seems happy to max out 6.0/6.2L sized engines. More likely a 'ecoboost 'challenger
