RE: manifold leak!!!!!!

I replaced the exaust manifold bolts on a 460.Did it myself, took it two local garages would not quote a price. Had to remove heads and take to machine shop to get bolts out.installed hedman headers from summit racing.I think it was 87 E350,some bolts were broken and some broke getting them out.The motor home had 75,000mi and no wear on cylinders.

RE: wife worried about snakes

Bee sting are more dangerous than snake bite. Only about 10 people a year die form snake bite in the US.Stay out of tall weeds and enjoy camping.

RE: 2001-2003 Suzuki XL-7

If you need a base plate I bought new one on Ebay for $130.00 with shipping,it is a Demco well built.I mounted it on my Chevy Tracker had to cut the bumper cover to fit.they had a couple more.cant beat the price.
Beyond modifying the bumper did it all bolt in the way it should..all holes lined up right? I'm looking at the instructions and they're a bit different from each other (Tracker vs XL7 base).Every thing bolted up no problems.Installed it and used a sallzall to cut bumper cover.I think the one for Tracker sticks out farther to clear the bumper cover.I think the only difference between the tracker and Suzuki is bumper cover.

RE: What vehicle was driven upon your initial DMV driving test ?

'54 grunge green 3/4 ton Ford pickup with a granny 4 speed manual tranny. The four year old truck was a ranch truck that never saw but 1000 miles of paved road in its 25 year life. Had to drive 78 miles to the closest DL test center.
The tester saw where I lived and ask who drove me here. I told him I did. He shook his head and had me drive forward and back up and asked me what the hand signal were. Checked the trucks lights/tag/registration and issued my class D license.
These days driving yourself to a driving test appointment means you don't get to take the test that day. I believe you have to find someone to pick you up as you can't drive the car away unless you want a ticket for no driver's license.
My daughter will be driving herself. She has a learner's permit. She just has to have me or her mom in the passenger's seat. Similar details may have been ommitted from some of these posts, however, I would not be surprised if some of these posters didn't solo to the testing site and get away with it.Brother did, drove to state police detatchment by himsrlf and took the test.
