RE: Recommendations for portable generator

My choice would be the new Honda EU3000i-HANDI because it is lighter and I would like to be able to move it around sometimes.

RE: Yuma or Casa Grande

We are in Palm Creek RV and Golf resort in Casa Grande and have stayed here for 5 years now. We used to spend time in California or along the Colorado river but decided to spend the whole three months here this year.

RE: Why did you have a blow out?

There seems to be a difference of opinion on under inflation. As far as I am concerned if a tire is not inflated to the number on the sidewall it is under inflated. 35 years of running trucks, most failures other than road hazards were caused by under inflation. I am sure lots will disagree.
I will never run mine at 120 lbs as you suggest
I'm trying to figure out why you would state that??????????
Where did you get that information.

RE: Gold Canyon Rv Resort & Palm Creek RV Resort Casa Grande, AZ

We have stayed in Palm Creek for four seasons and are planning on going there in Jan for 3 months. It is a 5 star RV park with every activity you can think of.
Last year we couldn't hook up to the internet but this year my friends that are already there tell me there is a new hookup for a charge.
I'm sure that you have already checked out their site on the net.

RE: Dual pane windows

The wind shield is the same
the walls, floor and ceiling are the same.
The area of the windows is not that large when you consider total area (windshield, wall, floor ceiling)
So I think the heating and cooling issue is real, but very over stated.
I keep my vents open most of the time. So noise will come through there any way
I open windows and have the screen door only when appropriate. I seek moderate temperatures and learn to live with my neighbors noise.
The seals break on dual pane windows and they fog. Needless additional repair item.
Single pane windows have more condensation on the inside on some cool mornings. I've learned I need a towel to wipe windows prior to driving very occasionally if I stay to long up north.
I prefer single pane windows as I believe the benefits are over stated and I prefer fewer repair issues. Others disagree and they are entitled to their opinions. Only YOU can decide if it is a big deal to YOU.
X 2 I Fully agree with this post. It's not a deal breaker. If I liked the coach and the price was right I would go for it.

RE: Yet another Wintnerization Q-Why blow the lines?

I have always felt the same way.
If you are going to pump pink stuff why bother blowing out the lines. Never have blown out the lines and I have an air compressor.
For the OP. No, you do not need to buy an air compressor.

RE: Front engine diesel Tiffins

We have had our 2007 Tiffin Allegro Fred for four years now and the Cummins 5.9 ISB gives us great mileage and is as said before at 10-11. It has good pulling power and not that noisy on the highway. We have driven ours 35,000 miles.
You probably should take it for a test drive before making a decision

RE: Tire Chains

I have gone south on the I-15 from Alberta to California for four years and always left on New Years day. I have never had to use chains but on one trip back on Apr first
I did stay in Salt Lake city for an extra day because of wet snow.
I don't ever want to have to use chains. I would just hang out until the highway became clear.

RE: Canadian buyers - buying in the states...READ THIS!

From what I know there are many reasons for such a price difference
between Canadian and USA pricing and it is not usually price gouging by the dealer.
The fact is the manufacturer charges the Canadian dealers a premium
for units sold in Canada. Then of course you have shipping added as well.
In order to protect the Canadian Dealers and help them to keep the sales in Canada, the warranty will only apply to units that were sold in Canada.
In some cases;
If you bought the unit in the USA you must bring it back to the USA for any warranty work.
Some manufactures have instructed their dealers in the USA that they are not to sell new units to Canadians for import.
Some get around this by selling very slightly used that they have had in stock for a while.
In general
We as Canadians are going to pay more if we buy in Canada.

I had one of these on my MH and it drove me crazy untill someone at the factory advised me that to drive the bare chasis this is the temporary key to move it around untill it is built.
