RE: TowMaxx tires:((((

I called Costco today too for a set of Bridgestone R250's. They're $212ea. Costco said they will not mount them in the trailer though. You have to bring in the wheels, plus they don't stock them either. So you have to order them and have them sent to the store for mounting. So my rig is on blocks in the drive right now. Phew that was some work. My poor 3 ron jack moaned in pain. Hoping TCB tires is nice to me with these PowerKings. They aren't that old and they're splitting bad. Hope they help me out at least somewhat, but I'm all ready for a hose job.

RE: TowMaxx tires:((((

I thought Costco wouldn't put tires on a trailer though? I've been looking at the Duravis R250. I think that's where I'm headed. I'm not sure what chain sells them though. Discount and Belle don't list them.

RE: Truck Tire Suggestions

BFG AT's are known for having some balance issues in the 285 range. I've had several sets of them,so just keep that in mind. This last round I read some positive things online about Hankook RF10's and I took a chance on them. These tires are really great. They took less weight to balance too. I'm super pleased. I'm not sure I wouldn't always buy these now. Hankook is in a manufacturing agreement with Michelin. I think it's rubbing off.

RE: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???

Yeah looks like it would hit, but I must admit I'd like to get mine out of the garage and away from my EZGO limo.

Mor/Ryde pin height and Mor/Ryde CRE3000 shackles.

Just got around to installing my Mor Ryde pin hitch. At first I hooked it up lower so I'd have more bed clearance. Even at my stock 6", I had a few times when the bed touched the bottom of the nose. I've also watched it push on my underside light hard several times and worried it would get smashed or torn off. In any event it gave my closer to 8", which is awesome, and also helps avoid the hitch hitting my roll cover tracks on either side of the bed when turning sharp. However, it also raised the front of the Cyclone slightly without even leveling the truck's attitude with air. I lowered the Cyclone's springs last year to get it raised and level. It rode better that way too. This will reverse that again. I'm wondering if I add Mor/Ryde shackles (CRE/3000 or the SRE/4000) down the road, will it again raise the trailer to compinsate for the new increased pin height? Did anyone gain height with the addition of the shackles? My shackles are maxed in the middle and have one more to go on the front and back hangers for what that's worth. They were off a hole from each other from the factory. Also, the new pin height gives me 4 bolt per side rather than 5. I assume this is still fine.

RE: Slip Plate,Pullrite Superglide

Very true.

RE: Slip Plate,Pullrite Superglide

I suppose, but in this case you're already making and inventorying the parts regardless. So your true "cost" should be next to nothing and your opportunity expanded regardless of sales. You just plan accordingly. If your sales are so low to not justify stocking kits, then you one off the kits in "side work" and price accordingly. One thing I've learned is there is ALWAYS someone who will pay for it...if nothing else just to have the latest and greatest. We're not running the biz though. LOL... Thanks for the insights on it. You've certianly been involved in it.

RE: Slip Plate,Pullrite Superglide

I have to ask myself if that's really the case, then why wouldn't they offer a conversion package? Doesn't make sense. Not that I don't believe you btw. Does the Delrin help with the noises and clunking at all?

RE: Slip Plate,Pullrite Superglide

I'm not sure. I just tear it down, wash it up good, paint anything that needs it, flip the way tubes, spray the ways good with EZ-Slide, and run it. YMMV...

RE: Slip Plate,Pullrite Superglide

That's a bummer. I too am sick of tearng it down every so often. Although I admit that I do not do it once a year either. It's just too much work. I also am starting to wish I had an air ride system that Pullrite doesn't seem inclined to design along with it's Super Glide design. I feel they're missing the boat there.

RE: Slip Plate,Pullrite Superglide

Sure. It's been several months so I should check in with them again really.

RE: Slip Plate,Pullrite Superglide

Think I said that. Hahaha... I actually talked to Pullrite a while back and asked about retro fitting the older hitches with the delrin glide pads. They WERE suppose to have a kit coming, but last I asked it still wasn't out yet.

I've been using a product from TSC (my local farm store). It's called EZ-Slide. Seems to hold up well. http://www.tractorsupply.com/ez-slide-graphite-based-coating-12-oz-aerosol-2120034

RE: Cyclone 3950 or Road Warrior 395?

Yeah again...great floorplans and a wickedly cool idea for towing, but that part is a deal breaker for us. It might not be an issue for everyone though. Some might not need the storage.

RE: Cyclone 3950 or Road Warrior 395?

We love our Cyclone. Been a great model for us. We looked at the 3950, but I felt like the trailer was to much the truck. We could have got it too though in hind site. The wife wanted the extra bathroom, but we find we don't really need it. The main bath has two doors for privacy. The 2nd bath would just be wasted space for us I think. The lil fridge on the other hand is priceless. Ours is loaded with pop. That makes more room in the main fridge. The while thing works great. I don't like the new Ti floorplans. It's a great idea, but kills the storage and our basement is always chuck full. You'll love the 3950.

RE: Insulating garage floor

I cut 2" pink foam sheets and glued and wedged them in place underneath for a total of 4". It went pretty well, but looks like hell if you're under there. I want to place black coroplast on tje bottom next. Having someone spray it would be far superior and easier. However, I'll caution you that there are elwctrical wire for the rear lights, landing jack, and fuel tank. If you spray over them and have an issue down the road...you'll have alot more work to fix it. Good luck
