RE: Does my tow dolly have a bent axel.

Make sure that the bearing race is seated correctly
in the hub. (all the way against the shoulder in the hub)
This would be easier to fix than a bent axel.
hope this helps

RE: Almost No Hot Water to Shower

I had the same problem at home and it was minerals in the mixing
valve. Removed the mixing valve and cleaned it and the problem was
solved. Could also be the valves on the outside shower. I hope the
problem is simple.

RE: Reduced Hot Water Heater Capacity

Clean the tank and check the bypass valve. Check the outside
shower valves and make sure the tank is filling all the way up.
Could have some air in it. Look at the flame and make sure its
blue.
Hope this helps

RE: Memphis must see, do ?

Graceland campground is a parking lot with full hookups.
Sites are close together. I stayed there for a hurricane evac
and was happy to get a site on Lonely Street. I also agree
you should see mud Island.

RE: New problem with Kwikee Steps/Solved I hope

1. Do you have a wall Rocker switch to keep the steps open
when parked? If you do it is usually fused for 25 Amps.
maybe arcking internally. Try a jumper.
2. Try a stronger earth magnet on the reed switch.
just looking for something you have not tried

RE: New problem with Kwikee Steps/Solved I hope

The other electrical component in the circuit is the ignition switch.
if it is also 22 years old maybe it can't handle the current flow.
good luck

RE: New problem with Kwikee Steps/Solved I hope

I would take the gearbox apart again and look at the center of the
large gear to see if it is not stripped or the small gear is not slipping
on the shaft. I had a chiped tooth on the big gear and the broken piece was stuck in between two teeth and it gave me a similar problem. It was hard to
see with all the grease. If you have installed rugs on the steps remove them to see if the problem goes away.
I would also clean all connectors on the controller and motor with electrical
contact cleaner. Also check your starter battery connections and make sure the
battery is fully charged.
hope this helps

RE: RV port door size/ type

I just built a 27 x 40 building with a 14 x 14 coplay door.
I have 14' from the floor to the back side of the door when opened. It has 2x6 studs that run to the ceiling and I plan to 2 story one side for storage
and a shop. My CB antenna still hits the door header when I drive in. My coach is 12'3" high x 36' long so I don't have to remove the tow bar. I can access all basement storage when parked.
Hope this helps.

RE: Do you remember and...

We had a 10 inch TV with all the big knobs on the front and my
dad would apply "parental control" with his sock foot and the horizonal
hold control if something came on he didn't want us kids to see.

RE: Anybody has a dryer fire?

If you use bounce or other fabric softners you should also
clean the lint filter. the tiny holes in the screen will
become blocked. a good test is to take the screen to the
laundry tub and run water over it. Mine was 2/3 blocked.
If water cannot pass than air won't pass either.

RE: Onan Emerald 5000 Leaking Oil

I have a 5500 and it was leaking oil through the air filter.
A freeze plug came out on top of the engine and changed the
crankcase pressure. Put in a new plug and the problem was solved.
It was under the top cover.
Hope this helps

RE: Onan marquis carb problem

I would go to NAPA or auto store and get a can of Sea Foam and
run it through the carb. It will smoke a lot but it will clean the carb.
A can of sea foam is about 7 or 8 dollars. It will also clean a lot
of carbon from the engine. It's worth a try.

RE: Kwikee steps problem (series 42)

Try these things B4 replacing the control unit.
Make sure that the screen door latch has minimum play when closed.
there is usually a reed (Magnetic) switch under the door trim on the inside
and a magnet mounted to the screen door. Too much play could cause this
condition. A flakey switch or a bad connection could cause the steps to turn on and off. Unplug and clean connections to the motor and control unit.
Do you have a rocker switch on the wall by the exit door?
If you do check it and its connections. Could also be the ignition
switch. Shake it with the key in it.
Turn off power to the steps and grease every pivot point.
Just some things to check B4 spending a lot of $$$$.
I hope is something simple.

All the suggestions are good and could cause the problem
you are having. I would also make sure you don't have
a restricked exhaust.

RE: Little Red Campfire....

You can buy a fitting that can refill the little green bottles from
any propane tank for about 17 dollars. Camper World, K Mart, Wal Mart sells
it. You may have to chill the green bottle so it will fill quicker. Works
Great.
