RE: odor in black tank

Grey tanks smell bad also. Any tank has a vent that leaks below or in the walls will cause this.

Install a disconnect switch or remove the ground cable from the battery during storage. Charge the battery fully before you disconnect..

RE: wiring in my inverter

How close is this to the Batt. I've always heard you want to keep the inverter as close to the batt's as posable and make the long run with the 120 volt wiring.
This is the best way, by far.
What is the capacity of the inverter and what is going to be connected??

RE: Battery Charging

To store you batteries without being connected to shore power you have to remove all loads. To do this you have to charge them fully, not just a couple of hours. Remove the ground cable from the battery bank, the one that goes back to the frame of the MH. Thia will remove all load and the batteries will keep just fine for several months, the colder the better.

RE: Secure Wi-Fi on the road???

In spite of using a secure website it is my understanding that an public WiFi connection is far from secure.
When using https, communication to and from the website is secure when using public WiFi or home WiFi.
You could be referring to the network security on public WiFi which is not the same thing. When using public WiFi, File and Printer Sharing on your connected device should be turned off and your firewall should be turned on. This secures your files from others on the network. This is not the same as what passes over the wireless connection web communication.
Again, https communication is secure, more secure than your home encrypted broadband.

RE: Rough ride

Weigh each wheel position and find out how much weight you are carrying, or at least weigh each axle, then go to your tire manufactures web site and find the inflation table for your tire size. IT will tell you how much air you need to carry that weight. I am betting that you have too much air in the tires. Dealers are required to inflate up to the maximum PSI as stated on the side wall of the tire, which is the pressure to carry maximum load of that tire, when in reality your RV probably does not weigh that much. For example the stamp could say you need 110 PSI for maximum load and the chart maybe will say you only need 80 PSI for your actual weight. Give it a try, weigh first before deflating.
Here is a link to Michelins inflation table.

RE: life of coach batteries when not in use

Five days, that is pretty quick. You still have some loads on the coach batteries. Use the disconnect switch after you fully charge the batteries back up. Fully charging will take several hours. do this as soon as you can.
Repeated full discharges will greatly shorten the life of the batteries and their capacity.
If they still discharge you can remove all load by lifting the ground cable on the batteries, only after they are fully charged. The batteries will store in that condition for several months.

RE: An Automatic 10% Increase In Fuel Economy For Everyone

This is on the misbelief that the fuel is cold at night, more dense, and warmer during the day, less dense. This is an urban myth.
Fuel is stored in underground tanks where the temperature is constant and the density does not change.

RE: remote printing

You have to use the control panel to install the printer. With the printer on and connected to the desktop - Go to the control panel on the laptop. Find the printer section. Select 'install printer ' one of the selections will be 'network printer ' the laptop will search for the printer on the network.
When you go to the printer section the first time, if the printer is already displayed, right click it and delete the entry.
If the laptop can not find the printer the laptop is not part of your network and that has to be setup again.
The printer has to be 'shared' on the desktop.
Your network is a desktop, eith printer attached, connected via ethernet cable to a wireless router. Laptop connected wireless to the router, right?
Don't confuse the installation by connecting the printer directly to the laptop. You do not have to install printer drivers on the laptop. It will get that info from the desktop when the printer installs.

RE: recording from a dvr

Most VHS units had RCA jacks for input, two for audio and one for video. IF the 625 has RCA jacks for output, connect the two together using RCA. Play what you want on the 625 and record on the VHS. No way to record any faster. You have to record as it plays.
