Randy, where are the Alabama Hills and Bodie?
Alabama Hills are at Lone Pine, you'll come to them 1st, stay at Bolder Creek RV park and see the area. As you go north on 395 between Lee Vining and Bridgeport you'll see the turn off to Bodie ghost town. The miners didn't packup, they just left in the early 30's. Like I said tons of history along 395. You can tour Madagaskar where the Japanise were inturned during the war.
Alabama Hills is where countless Western movies were filmed.

Did that route last year pulling my 35' fiver, worst part is right out of Benton Hot Springs, a bit steep and winding but doable. Watch for a series of whoop-de-doos past Black Lake, like a rollercoaster ride. Beautiful drive and next to no one out there.

Carl, Your 'toy' fuel tank should be 30 gals and the genny tank 18 gals.
No, they are not connected. Not sure who makes the tanks but you should find the maker of the pump on it.

I was just making my plans for address some things in our 322. Adding a light for the sink was on the list. I like you what you did and will do something similar. Very nice! thanks for sharing.
If you boondock you may want to put in a 12 volt lite.

A little mod in my Fuzion TE II
Was tired of the light over the counter blinding us and the darkness over the sink so added a flourescent under the tv and moved the wall light to under the cabinet. Built a spice rack to cover the hole in the wall. Much better.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v616/freewayrandy/trailer072.jpg

I'd suggest U.S. 395 and Tioga Pass into Yosemite (check with Caltrans website for opening) then up CA49 into Sequoia, 49 again to CA88 over to Tahoe. Depending on the winter, could be May/June for opening of Tioga, same with Sequoia.

I'll add this to 299...we went over it W to E in good weather in our 35' fiver and NEVER again! Thought we'd never get to Redding. Up and down...up and down...could only imagine with snow!

Try 42 Mile Tract out of Strawberry, just over the summit from Tahoe. It's a designated snowmobile route that goes over the hill to Caples Lake. Awesome run when the snow isn't too deep. Been on it a bunch of times in snow and clear. You can find it on a Forest Service map or possibly on any map.

If you are taking the toys with you and not in a hurry, I would take 167/359 to Hawthorne and 95 south to Mina. Lots of riding :C
That would be interesting, but, not taking them this time. Just a big get-together in Sedona, AZ. Walker River is one of our hang-outs, be there in May.

Placerville, Ca to Beatty, Nv ??
Have a trip planned next week, eventually ending up in Sedona, Az, but thinking of doing CA88 to US395 South to Lee vining, CA120 East to US6 East to NV264 to NV266 to US95 then South to Kingman. Any comments on this route? Fuel shouldn't be a prob as I can pack almost 60 gals. Pulling a 35' fiver. Thanks.
