RE: Hensley, First Trip Report

Best purchase you will ever make for a TT. Not just for stability but for you and your families safety.
This is our 3 TT and our Hensley has been moved to each one.

RE: Cracked shower base

I suggest you send the dealer something in writing (email or certified letter) that the pan is damage. Although you siliconed it can you take a picture? You need to protect yourself. Hate to have you come back from the trip and they refuse to repair the pan.

RE: Life Style? Doing what?

Don't drive as far. Have you explored your own city? Finding a state park that isn't far, pull out the chairs, sit down and do nothing.
You live in a beautiful area, explore it. You are in vacation mode, it takes awhile to realize your retired.

RE: Coach Net Roadside Service for travel trailers

I found Coach-Net to have better Customer Service than GS. We left GS after they couldn't send anyone to get us when we had a tire problem that required a flat bed tow.
Coach-Net seems to go the extra mile to take care of you.

RE: FINALLY got our TT!!!

We had a 2004. Our 2002 was replaced under factory warranty. On yahoo groups there is a Colman Caravan group. I started that group when owners didn't fit in any group. We weren't a hybrid. Thanks to that group we found out about the problems and went after our dealers and the manufacture. Some got replacements, many got them repaired at the factory. Our 2004 TT never exhibited any problems. Had it for almost 4 years when we traded it in for our current TT.
Although you've made your purchase (great floor plan, huh) maybe you can get the previous owner exactly what repairs he did.

RE: FLORIDA BOUND ON THE 17TH YEAAAAA!!!!

Have a safe trip. Currently our weather is great, always subject to change. While staying at the KOA chack out the other campground there, I think you'll like it better and will want to stay there next time.

RE: Florida State fair

Can't answer about the State Fair as we've never attended .. but I'm sure it's a biggie. That is where the Tampa RV Super Show is held, which we have been to.
As for diving, the only place you would find the that area would be one of Florida's Springs. The best diving (IMO) is the Florida Keys.

RE: LED light over door

When we were looking to purchase the security light I called the company and asked them that very question. I was told that bugs don't like LED lights, they aren't attracted by it. We've had our security light (with a 100 lum LED light) for almost a year and highly recommend it to anyone. As another poster said. If that light goes off (you can adjust it) then someone is walking to close.

RE: window air units

We are in Florida right now. We have 2 roof airs (15,000 and 13,500 btu)but run a window AC in the bedroom. The window unit only pulls 8 amps, lower electric bill.

RE: Where does your dog or cat like to "hang out" on the road

Our cats are crated in the TT while moving and our dogs are seat belted in the back seat. Have you tried putting your dog it a crate and seat belt that in? Animals feel very secure in a crate .. it's their safe place.
