RE: Where not to camp

*** UPDATE !! ***** Thanks to all who listened , the card company refunded all our money. Even though it said on the website NO REFUNDS , since we booked over the phone and did not read the website we were entitled to our money back. They admited that they do not tell all the customers and that is why it is on the website.... Joe

RE: Cleaning Black Tank

I hate to see some people use their drinking water hose to hook up to anything other than the main water supply. Hoses are cheap. I use a colored hose for anything sewer and white hose for house water. And for heavens sake don't put your drinking water hose down the sewer hose to clean it when disconnecting. I have seen it over and over. UGH!!!!!! I too use a seperate hose.... I picked up a 20' black in color hose at the Depot one day and that is me FLUSH ONLY HOSE ,,,,

RE: Cleaning Black Tank

When I am dumping once the tank is empty , I hook up the water to the connection for the flush and let it flush for several minutes while I go and do other odds and ends .. When the water seams clear coming out I turn off that water , let it all drain out , close my blank tank valve and open my grey tank valve ( that I closed the night before) this way all the soapy shower water and soapy water from cleaning the sinks run and wash off the tubes and all the connections...Joe

RE: 295 Richmond VA Bypass any better?

We ONLY stay on 95 around Richmond during NON busy hours..Taking 295 to me is a better way to go as I too believe the lanes feel wider , there are more lanes with less congestion , to me that makes an easier tow. I have been cought in Richmond at the wrong time on 95 and just like any other city , it was tough.. All in all it does not save alot of time , but it saves some brain power by not stressing in city traffic...Enjoy , Joe

RE: Wheel bearings!

Most trucks that I work on that have "packable" bearings, they are recommending 60,000 miles. On my own 2004 super duty, I repacked them just before 60,000 as I was going on a trip. I would be more concerned about adjusting the brakes after that many miles. The bearings on a superDuty are far more robust than trailer bearings.. You can not treat them the same.. To the OP.. I check every year and if I see signs that tell me I need to than I repack them.... If all looks ok I repack every other year..

RE: Mor/Ryde IS Suspension System?

I had it done last year at their service center and the difference is unbelievable ! The cost I was right around $3,000.00 ALL IN including uprading to the 12-1/4 x 3-3/8 brakes and never-lube bearings...The entire crew there was fantastic , you will not regret the decision to go there...Ben Wittingham is wonderful , When you pull up and walk in, they have a sign in the lobby welcoming the families scheduled there for work , if you stay there during the work they will bring lunch in for you at no cost , they offered for us to stay in the camper at night while we were there... I asked how is that , it is inside??? They said I could stay inside their building and I could have a key to get in or out at night!! It is the best mod I have done to date ! Joe

RE: New Jersey Campground Ideas??

Unless you want to go the REALLY long way,,,, your best bet is the Delaware Memorial Bridge to 40 East... take it East to the shore points...You did not say what part of New Jersey ??? That will really decide which way is better... on 95..in Philadelphia , the bridges are FREE going into NJ..you pay as you leave there , not sure about the Delaware bridge??

RE: Where not to camp

instead of being on the end of that ugly situation again, next time before you say YES, book me, ask about the cancellation policy. little situations like this just makes one more aware of what to ask before saying, book it! :) glad you got the dispute happening. that would be lousey to pay for something you aren't using. 99.9% of the time we do this but we handed it off to each other and both said that the other asked the question!! Won't to that again.. I learned at an early ege NOT to second guess MOMMA..!! :B

Where not to camp

I usually dont like to flame a business but...... My wife decided that Niagara falls was too far of a ride for a 3 day weekend so she booked at Wipporwill Campground in Mormora New Jersey.... After realizing there was a scheduling conflict she called back later that day to cancel.... hmmmmmm They put the entire weekend on the CC and said there is a NO REFUND policy ?? When we told her we were not told that and it was earlier that day that we reserved.. she said...LADY,, that is my rule...She was very rude and said... call the BBB !....oh well... I am off my soap box now..... Happy Camping !! Joe
