RE: Unmounted television

Just replaced the CRT with a 32" LCD that won't fit in the same place. For now we set it on the console (class A DP) which is at a more comfortable height to watch. When we travel I set it behind the passenger seat with the plastic/foam slip cover it came in and put a pillow against the screen. It fits between the seat and cabinet. May mount it someday but really like where it is now.

RE: poorly done ad by Newell

And that is why I bought a used Newell within my budget. Thanks Karl, really enjoy my '93 Newell and plan to travel many more miles. Customer service that can't be beat and a great coach.

RE: Rest areas on I-10 between El Paso & Ft. Stockton

Thank you Texas for not closing your rest/picnic areas like other states are doing!

RE: Ready Brake

I have the Ready Brake and like it. I had to add an extension (got it from same company to have the same capacity) for the Ready Brake arm to have room to work properly (it was too close and would hit the rear cap when braking). It works fine, no problems with tracking.

Gallup, NM to Moab, which route?

Leaving Gallup tomorrow morning to Moab. Planning on 1 or 2 night stops along the way.
Not sure which route would be best for a 39' motorhome towing a jeep Liberty.
I-40 west to 191 north to Moab?
491/666 NM north to 160 to 191 at Bluff?
491/666 north to 191 at Blanding?
Which route would be easiest (for grades?)
Which route is more scenic?
Thanks!

RE: KWIKEE STEP MOTOR REPLACEMENT SERIES 32-with photos

I have Kwikee series 32 made in 1993 steps. The large metal gear in the gear housing had a couple broken teeth. I ended up turning the gear so that it uses the other side and it is working for now. \\
I sure would like to find a new METAL gear. I really hate the thought of having to pay so much for the conversion kit from Kwikee that has the plastic gears.
anybody ever found the gear or gear case assembly?

RE: NOLA Mardi Gras visit

I live in Thibodaux. There are a few nice family oriented parades, also Houma (15-20 miles) has a few more parades. There are a few private campgrounds nearby also Thibodaux Civic Center has parking with electricity and water and dump station.

RE: Inattentive car drivers

Driving on the wrong side of the road is really not too bad. Just watch out for those right turns!

RE: Inattentive car drivers

I always start out trying to be courteous. When someone is trying to merge onto the 4-lane I move over. BUT, after 2 times of getting stuck in the left lane by inconsiderate drivers who only get PO'ed at me for going 62 in the left lane, I stand my ground and stay in the right lane. Sorry guys you'll just have to adjust your speed and either speed up (I'm only going 62 remember?) or slow down a bit to go behind me.

RE: Dish Network Ant for RV'ing advise needed

If you have a different type satellite at home, don't you have to run "check switch" after you have a signal?

RE: Now I understand what its like to be near generators

OK, just to spice this up a bit. My dislike is when my camping neighbor decides to turn on his "outside entertainment center" and crank it up to where other people can hear it. I'm sorry dude, I don't like your music, TV show, ball game, whatever! I like quiet! If I can hear your "noise" from my campsite, especially from inside my camper, then "TURN IT DOWN". Otherwise I'll have to crank up my noisy generator, close my windows and turn on my air conditioner.
I choose to camp, wherever I am, rather than stay home, because I like the scenery and the relaxing atmosphere.
