RE: TT you'd love to have if you could.... :)

I was looking at a similar except it had a full outdoor kitchen. You would be almost dead on with your guess of price. The MSRP is likely 36K but most range from 25 - 27k

RE: Propane question

You should keep it in a vented area as tanks can vent. Do a google search I'm sure you will find some official rules for your area.

RE: Propane question

a milk crate works great for transporting 20lb tanks so they stay upright. I use a 5 or 10 lb tank (depending on which one is handy or full). Much more cost effective than the disposable ones.

RE: How does CW recruit, train, audit managers, technicians?

I don't think everyone can be expected to be an "expert" from day one. The best training is hands on just like any other technical job. Knowledge comes with experience and that experience needs to be passed on. I'd assume that the work is likely supervised at very lest by a qualified person in an apprentice sort of setting. I imagine this may be why you feel the service manager is "defensive" or making excuses. I don't think that is the intent but I do believe he likely feels responsable for his staff and doesn't hesitate to deffend his team. I personally would not want to be part of any team where my direct support or above didn't have my back.
You failed to provide examples of what made YOU feel this way. The sad truth is that bad reviews are always more common than good ones. People are more likely to go out of their way to slam a product than to promote it. Something that I always keep in mind when reading reviews of any item or service.
I can't think of any position I've ever walked into that I didn't need guidance for at least a little while.
In regards to RV tech training, there are schools that offer training/certification.

RE: Need Help! -- Can't get Reese Trunnion Bar w/Sway set up

I notice in your picture the trailer is off the ground or is that just the way it looks? It appears the front jack is not touching on at least the one pic. While connected (head locked on ball) put the jack down and lift the rear of the truck (as per the instructions) as was also suggested above.

Do you have "lift handle (W)"?
Are the pads not supposed to be 3 - 5 inches away? as other suggested are the pads to high up as well?

RE: Not getting hot water inside the camper...

yes.. if you turn that bypass and the water shuts off then I will change my answer to agree with the others. The check valve or valve on the hot side of the tank is closed or stuck closed. Because you have water in your tank I assume the valve on the cold inlet side is open but make sure you haven't closed it in the process of troublshooting.

RE: Need Help! -- Can't get Reese Trunnion Bar w/Sway set up

"Using the tongue jack, raise the tongue of the trailer and rear of vehicle as high as possible and
attempt to set spring bars on top of pad hangers. If bars will not swing over the pad hanger, use of
the lift handle (W) will be required."

RE: Ugly Encounter at Campground

The only time I ever have crossed a persons site is if I've come out of the bush on a trail and no other option is availabl but returning the way I came and if that was a long long way. If someone is there I will appologise and be polite explaining that perhaps I got turned around or obviously made a wrong turn. I will do all I can to avoid.
I suggest others do the same and frown upon anyone that does cross my site, the main reason.. I have dogs which I tie up as a responsible owner and in accordance to the rules of the park. Should someone approach me or my kids there is no real way of knowing what could happen. If the person trips on the rope or should they be unstable and approach my dogs or us in a manner in which the dog feels threatened. Should they get bit I feel it's their own fault and they get what they deserve, I would offer little remorse outside an appology for their own stupidity. I am willing to bet that should something like that ever happen that the law would see it that way as well.
Besides all that, a person who pays for the site are the owners of that site so to speak while the "rent" has been paid. Suggesting it's not in the rules is like suggesting your hotel room is open for anyone to come and go because it's not written. Why do people always insist that it needs to be written or it's not true or acceptable? What kind of world do they think the live in?
The space is yours and I don't think it's unacceptable or too much to ask for people to respect that space as you would theirs.

RE: Not getting hot water inside the camper...

because you get water than it must be the way you have the valves. Also check the shower head as people reported in past it causing a loop of some sorts. If were not getting water I'd suggest it was the check valve on the hot water tank.

RE: Wanting to burn my tents

I must agree with Sharker6. I had a Jayco 28bh once and pulled it with a Ford Explorer with 3.73 gears and a v8. While it did pull it, it was always in a lower gear and screaming like a banshee and was blown around to the point where it was uncomfortable at times (I have a lot of exp towing). After towing it for a few months bought a new truck and then a fifth wheel because we wanted more (took a huge loss). As you can see.. almost same trailer and a bigger truck in my story.. I would advise against but that is only my opinion based on almost an exact/slightly better scenario, others will probably disagree. I might also add that most of the towing I did was in the praries with that combo.. Flat ground and high winds at times..

RE: Anyone taken Hwy 22 from Cochrane to Entwhistle (PH16)??

You could do that but I can't think of a drive that may be more of a bore.. ok.. maybe not that bad. If it were me.. I'd go south to 1 and then WEST to Banff (you can sidestep and parrallel 1 on 1a just past Banff town site before you get back on 1 before Lake Louise)then North on 93 to Jasper and beyond. 93 from Lake louise to Jasper is one of the most beautiful drives I've ever taken.

RE: Non Paying Jobs

I've always seen the one who looks after the park in a designated spot. I assume they are required to stay there or be available most 24/7 unlike a regular job. I don't think it's unreasonable to let the manager park for free AND pay them otherwise they should have the option to leave after their 8 hours and stay elsewhere. I assumed that was the way it was most often. Get paid plus a site to park on.

RE: Non Paying Jobs

Better than some I'd seen before. I saw a post where the income was less than the cost of the site that you were required to pay for. Seemed like a scam to me.

RE: Atwood Water Heater Need to Drain?

Not sure about NEED but I used to drain mine after each use and after it had cooled. It only takes a moment, get yourself a socket with an extension, I think it's 15/16th but perhaps that is the Suburban I'm thinking of. After cooled, release pressure then remove plug. BTW.. if you don't release the pressure it will blow like a cork and if hot you may suffer burns. Use your hand to put plastic plug back in to start the threads to avoid cross threading.

RE: Where to sell my RV

You can also contact a dealer and ask about consignment. Drop it on their lot, they sell and take a cut. IMO one of the easiest methods and risk free but at a cost.

RE: BC Parks Discover Camping tool

I can say that in the past one of the problems with reserving a site online in general was that you never knew what you were going to get. Showing up on the requested date was like rolling the dice, especially if you were unfamiliar with the park. Would you be dissapointed with it's layout or location or would it meet or exceeded your expectations? I see that many locations are now including pictures with detailed info about each site which helps a lot.
Can you provide a link for the Discover Camping online tool?
