RE: Propane or gas generator?

If you camp in the cold weather with a propane gen the regulators freeze up and the tanks will as well. Go gas if you can

RE: Adding a 2nd AC to a 30 Amp 5th Wheel

you can do it for sure but the campground will need a second 110 outlet at the pole. My campground has a 30 AMP and a separate 110 outlet at the pole so many people do just what your saying. good luck PS make sure its framed for a second a/c before you install it.

RE: delaminated siding

first you need to find and fix the leek. I had this happen to me it was a leek from the Sky light in the shower. what i did was take out the shower walls and applied adhesive to the place that come off the studs and when on the out side and put a brace from the spot to a tree next to the camper and left it for 2 days. i removed the brace and it was good as new. that was 3 years ago and still holding fine. I also installed a light and screwed it into the middle stud in the middle of the delaminated spot.

RE: Leaking hot water tank pressure relief valve

Try this first: Shut of the water and slowly open the pressure relief valve until NO pressure remains. Next open and shut the valve several times, letting it SNAP shut under the spring pressure. You may have a bit of crud around the seal and letting the valve SNAP shut, instead of gently closing it, may dislodge the debris and correct the situation. If this doesn't work, replace the valve. It'll cost you nothing to try this! X2 Why would anyone want to worry about a $15, part replace the thing and forget about. the air pocket thing just might be the dumbest thing i have ever heard.. i have been a plumber for 30 years and never have heard such BS. One more note they do go bad in campers more then in the home as we open them to drain the hot water tank. Try doing that to you home heater and see what happens.also the severe temp change weekens the spring in the valve.. Just replace the thing. Air Pocket?? LMFAO... Will if you have never heard of the air gap/pocket then perhaps you need to do a little more studing on RV water heaters. From Atwood page 5 "TO REPLACE THE AIR GAP FOLLOW THESE STEPS: 1. Turn off main water supply (the pump or water hook up source). 2. Let water cool or let run until cool. 3. Open the hot water faucet closest to the water heater. 4. Pull handle of pressure temperature relief valve straight out and allow water to flow until it stops. 5. Allow pressure temperature relief valve to snap shut; close faucet; turn on water supply. 6. Turn on water heater and test. • At least once a year manually operate pressure-temperature relief valve (FIG 10). When pressure-temperature relief valve discharges again, repeat above procedure. For a permanent solution, we recommend one of the following: • Install a pressure relief valve in cold water inlet line to water heater and attach a drain line from valve to outside of coach. Set to relieve at 100-125 PSI. • Install a diaphragm-type expansion tank in cold water inlet line. Tank should be sized to allow for expansion of approximately 15 oz. of water and pre-charged to a pressure equal to water supply pressure. These devices can be obtained from a plumbing contractor or service center." Butch your wrong just a new valve will do the trick. i do love the complicated answers to very small problems.

RE: New 5ver on the way

PS your lucky to have a dealer like them so close. My local dealer wanted $11,000 more for the same camper. For about $3800 you can have it delivered ANYWHERE in the US. Why would you stand for an $11K over quote? i dident i git it from Rvwholesaler and saved the $12,000

RE: Rubber on roof flops

I know this will sound nuts but i had that happen to me and i used a big hypodermic needle and injected epdm adhesive in 6 places and rolled it with a roller you use for flooring. then i covered the pin holes with a small piece of eturabound tape. It worked like a champ.
