RE: engin battery

My south wind with ford chassis charges with engine and plugged in with battery control center.
My original battery lasted 7 years ? Ford has a 60 month warranty. Things that could use up the engine battery is your dash radio, dash fans stairs lights left on,putting out slides without running engine. Check the water level in the cells. Do you have a smart monitor?

RE: Lazydays sales

When we bought our Southwind in 05 , the salesman said take home and use it and make a list of things that are wrong. We took it back 2months later with a list and a appointment took 3 weeks to fix. Saleman said they summitted everything to fleet wood for them to pay and when they figured who payed for what (fleet wood or dealer)then they fix the coach

RE: Water leak behind outside shower panel

The water inlet valve comes off with the 3 screws shown in the picture. They usually go bad because of constant use. If your water pump is behind the panel I would think they would have left easy acess for you. Good luck

RE: Suburban SF 25 completely dead

got this off a web sit
SEQUENCE OF NORMAL OPERATION
1. When the thermostat calls for heat, the blower motor is energized immediately.
2. As the blower motor reaches approximately 75 percent of the normal rpm
(within 3 to 5 seconds) the microswitch, in response to the air flow, will engage
allowing current flow to the solenoid valve and the spark ignition system.
3. The current to the valve opens it and allows gas to the main burner. The spark
then ignites the main burner.
4. After main burner ignition, the flame detector will sense the presence of flame
(usually within 7 seconds) and deenergize the lockout feature. If the main
burner does not ignite or the flame detector does not deenergize the lockout
feature within 7 seconds, the unit will go into lockout. At this time, it will be
necessary to set the thermostat on OFF and repeat steps 1 through 6 of the
lighting instructions.
5. After three (3) attempts with no ignition or main burner continues to go off
within 7 seconds, go to shutdown and determine cause. (see service hints)
6. If within a period of approximately 2 minutes after the main burner is lit, the
thermostat is turned back, both the blower motor and solenoid valve are
deenergized. However, if the furnace continues to run longer than 2 minutes,
which it normally should, a slight snap can be heard from within the casing. The
snap is caused by the fan switch as it changes its position. After this occurs, if
the thermostat is satisfied or turned back, the solenoid valve will close, the flame
o n the main burner will go out, but the blower will continue to run for a short
period of time and will then shut off. The purpose of this is to remove most of
the remaining gases from the heat exchanger. Be assured that this period of
blower override is a part of the unit’s normal operation.

RE: Considering Fleetwood Terra 31TS, new to RVing, fam of 4

We have our 32vs for 7 years and 66k miles with ford chassis. we love it and the only things that have broke is a converter and a start cap in the ac . I wish we had full body paint. We have dual ac which is a must in my opinion.

RE: Shore power issue

Make sure you check the ground that goes to your chassis . I had a 12v problem that the 12v only lasted 2min after unplugging . I was going to replace the battery and the wife said did you check all the connections. I found that the ground cable is attached to the chassis with a nut and bolt which was loose.
Also if you call fleetwood the will send you free of charge schematics for you rig.

I have the direct tv (no dvr) works great all the time . I signed up for dish ,they were going to save me 30 a month. they showed up at my house in calif. and they saw my mh and said my ant on the roof would only get one sat and only half the channels. I would have to move it to get the other half. They had a dish $800 . The tec asked my how much traveling did i do. He said I would loose my locals when I left calif . I could ask for a fcc wavir to get them for $30 a month. I still have direct tv.

RE: Shore power issue

sea tec the transfer sw in my southwind is mounted to the floor behind the drawers (If you pull out the drawers and look with a fashlight you can see it).
but since you have 120v that it for future use.
The converter (output should be 13.6v) that charges the battery and supplys 12v
is located under the refer.(mine has a piece of wood held on with 2 screws)

I have a ford v10 and have 60000 miles in 7 years. I have changed oil and filter. I started using synthetic after warranty ran out, seams to be happyier with it.
I had a 99 f250 super duty v8 that blew out a spark plug at 106,000.
The motorhome brake fluild is a DOT4 (not dot3)

RE: LP Furnace not working

Thermostat On but Furnace Fan Does Not Come On
This may be caused by:
1. No voltage from thermostat to furnace (bad wire or no power to thermostat)
2. Bad Time Delay Relay
3. No 12v power from the battery to the furnace Time Delay Relay
4. Motor circuit breaker is open or manual switch is Off
5. Loose wire
6. Bad blower motor
Low battery voltage can cause excessive current through the motor and trip the circuit breaker
and so can excessive load on the motor, e.g. dirt in the fan housing. A defective motor can also
cause a breaker to trip.
