RE: fuel problem
The fuel pickup line should have a sock on the bottom of it. If there is some foreign debris in the fuel tank the sock will clog and stop the fuel supply. When the engine stops the fuel in the pickup line flushes the debris away from the sock allowing the vehicle to start again. The generator would not be affected because the sock for it is a lot higher than the bottom of the tank. I had this problem on one of my pickup trucks.

I fill anytime the fuel gauge reads about 1/2 tank. You never know if you will be able to get fuel when it gets lower than 1/4 tank. Power outages, tornados and earthquakes happen when you least expect them and sometimes it gets hard to find a fuel stop open and operating. I am not taking chances at being stuck someplace that I don't know. I do know that at 1/2 tank I can go quite a distance to find a open fuel stop. I do carry two gallons of gas in a approved gas can for my two Honda 2000's. They run much more efficient than the Onan and I tend to use the Honda's when boondocking. There is a much greater chance being in a earthquake, power outage or tornado than having a fuel can explode in your storage compartment. I know I haven't had a fuel can explode yet but I have been involved in earthquakes and power outages many times.

While it may be true that most RV fires are in MH's, most of the RV's that have been destroyed by turning over has probably been TT's or 5ers. As long as I'm enjoying the ride I won't worry about what might happen.

It isn't my idea of "recreation" to stay at a CB either, but it isn't my idea to pay $30 to $40 to stay in a campground for 8 hours either. It also isn't my idea of "recreation" to stay at a campground for 8 hours. If I want to recreate I want to stay around the campground long enough to use the pool or at least the spa. Pulling into a campground at 9:00 pm you would not be able to use any of the amenities. I'll keep using CB and rest stops.

Next time you set up a campsite at Q, first thing you do is go out 200' from your rig and set up targets all the way around. When someone starts setting up too close to you explain to them that they are setting up between you and your targets or at least too close to the shooting range.

RE: RMP3 failure
Here in Southern California mine has been sitting in the sun for almost one year. I put 4 coats on it when I coated it. Did you prep it right? I used Bar Keepers Friend but found that I had to follow up with a regular automotive soap wash before I could coat it with RPM3. The Bar Keepers Friend leaves a film behind that you have to remove.

Forget it. The weight thing doewsn't mean anything. I have the Bounder in my Sig and still have to go for a smog check. I never worry about it, always pass. The good thing is that the MH's don't have to go on the Dyno.

I opted for Propane because I did not want to introduce a 3rd fuel into the equation. My TV is diesel, and I have propane on board already. My new 5'er has 80 gallons of propane on board already. I saw no reason to go with gas. If I bring a couple of extra containers I'm hoping I could make it through a long weekend on propane.
Propane is cleaner which ultimately leads to better reliability out of the genset.
Lastly I am more of an occasional user. I don't plan to use Genny for 24,48 or 72 hour stretches regularly. Propane should handle my consumption needs
HOW BIG?
A 100 gallon tank is 54" X 45". You must mean a 80 pound tank..
A 100 lb tank is 48" X 14.5 " A 80 gallon tank would have 400 lbs of propane in it.

I try to plan ahead, so I always have my freezer full the day before leaving with my MH. I start the refrigerator well in advance to make sure that it is cooling properly. It is a bummer to start the refrigerator the day before to find out on the day that you are leaving that it isn't cooling right.

Spray some WD40 into the opening. The plunger should be removed every so often to lube the unit. After spraying the plunger should go in with some pressure. It won't go in or come out easy, if it did it would activate when you didn't want it to.

RE: battery exploded
I had a battery in my pickup that worked intermittently. I was trying to find out why I had no power. I tapped on the positive post with a pair of pliers and the battery exploded in my face. The battery posts that we hook the wires to are attached inside the battery to a smaller post. Apparently the outer post was slightly loose and arcked when I tapped on the battery making a spark inside the battery and we all know how dangerous Hydrogen gas is. I was lucky that when the battery exploded I screamed for my wife to come out of the house. Kept my eyes closed tight and got her to turn the hose on and squirt my face with the water, even though this was in February and it was about 40 degrees out. Many things can make a battery explode. I always use a full face shield even when adding water (now).

Bleach and detergent create heat. Only use the bleach after using a lot of water. Even then I would not feel safe with what fumes could enter the MH or TT.

There is no such thing as a standard size cul-de-sac. The cul-de-sac is sized to the particular street. Some streets are wider some narrower. Depends on the width of the street.

No complaints allowed about how shiny your rig is. LOL LOL. It does come out looking good doesn't it. Just don't use it on the linoleum floors in the MH. It gets really slippery and dangerous.

It really depends on which dirt road that you take. Some of them have sharp drops when you turn onto them, others are very narrow. You can drive very close to the water on some of the roads. I have driven on some roads out there that went close enough to the lake to start sinking down with my Tracker. I'm sure that you'll find some good roads, lots to choose from. Ask at the small store near the lake before you pick a road. They can probably give you the best information.

Also find out how much weight that the repair is going to add to the unit. They will probably fishplate the repaired area which is welding the cracks and putting a steel plate over that and welding the plate all around.
