RE: Electrical Issues

Did you check the two reverse polarity fuses on the DC terminal end of the converter?

RE: Electrical problems 2008 gulf breeze 26rks

Sounds like you may have two problems.
First thing to check is the main breaker in the rig. Turn off all breakers, applying light pressure toward off. Turn main breaker on, followed by each branch circuit breakers one at a time.
No power? Verify that your adapter is good. Replace with known good one or test for continuity through it.
DC problem could be a bad circuit breaker or fuse normally located adjacent to the battery. Fuses can look good but still be bad. If it is a small circuit breaker, some of thos have reset button.s
Still no DC, check DC power distribution panel for main fuse.
Buy yourself one of these inexpensive tester from your favorite store.

RE: Campgrounds in Island Park, Idaho

The area you are talking to me is too far away from West Yellowstone entrance. Lions Head resort would be as far west as I would want to go.
Cost of traveling would negate the savings you may get from less expensive campgrounds.

RE: Electrical Issues

Not "all" electric runs on 12 volts DC. Large items such as air conditioning, and microwave operate on 120 volts AC.
Your converter could have reverse polarity fuses built into it. Check those fuses.
Check to see if you have a converter fuse in the DC power distribution panel.
Verify that there is 120 volts to outlet that the converter plugs into.
Check to see if 120 volt items work, turn on air conditioner or see if lights are on in the microwave.

RE: right turn signal not working on hooked up toad

Slide down a little on this site. Diodes are about 1 inch square, about 3/8 thick with three wires. Blue ox diodes look very much the same.
The diodes maybe in trunk area or behind tailight assembly.

Les Schwab!
Size as on rig but weigh rig to get correct ply rating.
I would not go with Michelins. I would go with Toyos.

RE: LP detector replacement?

I have not seen LP detectors other then 12 volts DC cponnected to RV ele3ctrical. The 30 series should run about $75. I saw some travel style for hotel rooms that operate on 9 volt battery, but not in North America.

RE: Toyo Tires

That is correct no one except michelin makes that oddd size. Any tire dealer can convert that circumference of tire to a number of brands. The profile would be different.

RE: Fresh Water Tank Venting

Look at your gravity feed tube. Some have a tap for the vent. If you have no gravity feed, then there should be a 3/8 hose coming off the top of the tank that connects to the vent on the city water fill.

RE: right turn signal not working on hooked up toad

tenbear:
You maybe correct! Would have to say "OP, is that at both ends of the ambilical cord?" Next, use a jumper and apply 12 volts from Toad to the right turn signal pin location on the receptacle of the toad.
It could be an open diode wherever the installer placed it or a wire has come loose on the diode.

RE: Fresh Water Tank Venting

Many rigs have a small vent adjacent to the gravity fill opening inside the hatch.
Look at part JFE12-A. Enlarge photo to see vent.

RE: right turn signal not working on hooked up toad

tenbear:
On some chassis like some Fords, there is separate trailer connector circuits.
You are correct if the manufacturer tapped into the MH's lighting circuit.
OP: It would be good to know what chassis you have.

RE: Tow Lights: Diodes vs. Bulbs

No, failure will not allow any voltage to pass.
Biggest problem that can cause back feed is miss wiring or improper connections which allows the connections to touch.

RE: Tow Lights: Diodes vs. Bulbs

I have used diodes in several toads with no problems. Key is to install them as close to tail lights as possible. Follow installation instructions. I used Roadmaster diode and instructions.
I avoided using a tailight converter. Used wiring diagram for toad that matches the MH. Red turn signals on MH and Amber on toad, I used the wiring to use the brakelight filament on toad as turn signals.

RE: right turn signal not working on hooked up toad

You didn't say what chassis of MH. There could be separate fuses for trailer connector. Look in your chassis fuse block or manual.

RE: inverter

Start by checking all the connections on DC input. This is probable cause. The inverter is receiving low voltage.
Verify that you are not exceeding the 2500 watt rating of inverter.
