RE: 2011 Jayco Eagle util center bypass valve stripped

Been there too. If I'm correct your referring to the brass bypass/regulator connection at the back of your hot water tank. We had an issue with ours 2 years ago. Winterized with no problem, when we were preparing 5vr for it's first trip the following spring that valve wouldn't open with anything. Wound up stripping the plastic handle. We took it out and soaked it in CLR and that still didn't fix it. Are you sitting? Replacement cost......$199! :M I just couldn't justify paying that much so since I was already out of warranty I went to Lowes and purchased the fittings to replace that valve with off the shelf parts...total cost....$7.50. Jayco has a great reputation and this was the only problem we've ever had with the whole unit in 4 years, yours is still under warranty, lucky you. Good luck and happy camping.

Rear Stabilizer

Hello Folks, long time no hear. Hope Everyone is well. Quick question, has anyone attatched some sort of skid plate or rollers on the back of your 5vr? We know how low our backsides are. We managed to mangle ours pretty badly during our trip to Texas. Luckily we found them at a fairly reasonable price. I'd like to weld something on them before I re-install it to prevent the possibility of ripping off another set.

RE: External Ladder mounts

Try this place:Factory RV Surplus. I searched ladder supports and came up with something that might be what you're looking for. Went back to the site and if I'd have taken my time I would have seen the tab on the left hand side of the website for ladder parts. That was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. My mistake was not realizing it comes in three different parts for one assembly. aker1, that looks to be a stronger setup.....expensive?

RE: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!

Hello Everyone, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Been a while since we've revisted the group. Hope everyone is well. We've graduated to empty nesters but we still need to remain part of the workforce until we get debt free, whenever that is. The 5vr is holding up very well so far. Seems every big trip we take I get to replace something due personal error. This trip I had to replace the rear leveling jacks, Texas is nice and level except the parking lot I pulled into. Darn those are close to ground. I did find a great source for the new one though. Has anyone installed "scraper wheels" ? I'm experimenting with ideas to prevent this in the future, I'd be interested in what y'all have done. L&M Our bed lifts go to the outside of the supports and miss the plastic guide completely, I'm fixing that setup over the winter. Has anyone had problems with the ladder mounts? One of mine "popped out" and I can't source a new one. Hope to hear from the group to hear how your days have been. Happy Camping!

External Ladder mounts

I can not locate an external ladder mount. It's for my signature 5vr and it's located at the bottom. It appears to be an inverted "T" with the bolt located inside the hollow portion of the ladder. Lot's of folks know what I'm talking about but no luck finding one yet. I tried RV and Boat parts suppliers. Anyone actually find one of these not part of the entire ladder package? Thank You and Have a Happy New Year. :)

RE: Nominate your roughest road

Well we didn't heed the warnings of the wise and experienced. Recently completed the first leg of vacation, arriving in Killeen Tx from Northern Virginia. I-20 through Shreveport La will test your RV, TV and every bone in your body, even with a high-end setup. Unbelievably everything survived & stayed in place. Guess we're going home via Tn. Happy Thanksgiving all.

RE: A warning to all campers

Really feel bad when a trip goes badly. We also suffered signifiant rudeness at a Morgan owned property by the name of Newpoint Campground (VA). I can go all through the ugliness thrust upon us but that won't fix the OP's issue. What WE did was write a letter (with pictures) and sent it to Morgan's main office. The response from their management was nothing less than excellant. After they fired the current management, we received equal credit for both of our campsites (we had 2 "premium" sites on the beach front for a month)to be used at ANY of their other campsites. This time we did research each campground we would like to visit and we chose Indian Creek in Ohio. When we checked in we were treated so well that we went back the following summer, thats 2 sites for 2 weeks each, all for "free".:C We still get calls from Ed and Debbie inviting us back, and yes, we'll will go back and this time as paying customers. The moral of the story.......Go to the top for satisfaction and not all Morgan Properties are run by the intellectually challenged. Good Luck

RE: Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!

Hope everyone is doing well. Summer is here once again. Quick question for our group, has anyone replaced their mattress? Ours has a distinct settling in the center. Our biggest issue is weight. Thanks,
