RE: Once More - Starcraft Bungee Discs

So how did you get the old ones out - by drilling? I tried an Easy Out but it just spun.
drenjoey - what size rivets? 5/32" or 3/16"?
I wish I could help you with the size. I did use a drill, but that was a few years back and I can't remember (must be old age):h
I changed my HTT since then.

RE: YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!

Hi Dre-
I live in Gray too :) My son and I are going to Wassamki Spring in Scarborough for the first time this weekend, Day of Destruction at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Sunday. Anyway, glad things went well with yours, hoping I don't forget stuff this weekend as it's my first one out for the season!
This is the first time I see a Gray resident on this forum....WELCOME! Hope you're gonna have a great time at Wassamki in Scarborough.
For us, next trip will be Canada, and then Old Orchard Beach, Camden, the White Mountains, and possibly Acadia.
Have fun in Scarborough and as for weather..........Sunny and warm.

RE: Clean Handles?

There is a product you can find at Family Dollar or most of the Dollar Stores. It's called; Awwwsome! and it does wonders. Any dirt or black spots on handles will disappear.
it's called "LA's Totally Awesome" and i also found it worked on the plastic handles. other degreasers wouldn't.
Thanks Dan...........I know I can count on you to back me up and correct my mistakes (Must be the French in me):)

RE: YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!

Glad everything went well. And just where did you camp, if I may ask? Any place we should know about. We're headin' to ME in a couple of weeks. Just curious.
We went to Sebago Lake State Park in Naples, Maine, and we took a W/E site. The park is beautiful with a few hiking trails and a nice beach.

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!

FINALLY.............After looking at our new for us HTT in the front yard since November (that's when I bought it), we finally had a chance to use it for a weekend.
The first trip is always special......you want to know what you forgot to bring or any problems that the HTT might have, or what you should add on (mod) for your next trip.
What we forgot: The only thing we forgot to bring was a second towel. In our excitement, we brought only one towel for the two of us. My shower was good but I had to use my DW's towel and it was damp.
Problems with the HTT: Absolutely none. We enjoyed a weekend in our Stampede S-238 without any problem.
Add-0ns (Mod) : I can't think of any mods to add. Since November, that's all I've been doing: Changed the DVD player to a Jensen......add a television in the back room.....install a new Oxygenics shower head..... install a new electric jack..... built shelves in the closet etc etc.
BTW....... I recommend that Oxygenics Spa Shower Head to everyone. That is by far the best shower head I ever had.
OK! Let's get ready for the next trip to Canada in June....My DW and I are already anxious to hit the road again. I don't know what it is about camping (I think I know)........but it's FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN !!!

RE: Exterior Shower

For the first time today, we used the outside shower. We were at the campground and my 3 year old twin granddaughters came for a visit with their mother. They were full of sand, and I was happy to tell them they were the first ones to ever use the outside shower.

RE: best place to advertise to sell

We bought a 2011 Palomino Stampede S-238 last November on Craigslist. I drove from Maine to Pennsylvania to get it, but it was worth it.......and of course the price was great, real great ($11,500).
I also sold my Starcraft popup on Craigslist, and it sold in 2 days.

RE: Travelstar parts question

Troy,
If you can't find them, I have some here (seven) that I used when I had my 2004 Travelstar. Since I now have a Palomino and don't need them, send me a PM and I will be happy to send them to you.

RE: Weight Distribution Hitch

There's quite a margin between what Wayne and Dan are saying.
Dan is saying a little over 600lbs, and I would probably keep the WDH I have at the moment.
Wayne is saying 786lbs, and I would seriously think of getting a new WDH.

once loaded, it'll be close. i'm betting that, loaded, your tongue weight will be a little over 600lbs.
And what can happen if I'm over ?

Weight Distribution Hitch

When we lost our 2004 Travelstar, I kept the WDH system for my next HTT.
We now have a 2011 Palomino Stampede S238 and the dry hitch weight is 411 lbs. My WDH is good for 600 lbs.
Are we in the limits or should we look for another WDH ?
Thanks

I have a Reese 600lb WD spring bars.

RE: Electronic Tongue Jack Question

I had the UltraFab 3500 on my 2004 Travelstar, and this is the first thing I bought when I moved to a 2011 Palomino.
It is a well built jack and I recommend it.
