RE: Off road diesel fuel

no road tax paid on off road fuel. it has a dye (red) in it so they can tell if you ever get checked. they say once you get the dye in your fuel system, it won't go away. i don't know what the fine is but figure it's high otherwise lots of people would be doing it.

RE: glass entry door?

i just went to Lowes and got a piece of plexiglass not quite as wide as the door and just tall enough that the dog couldn't reach the top. 8 or 10 small/short screws around the edge hold it in place on the lower inside over the screen. you still have screen in about 2/3s of the door if you want the air flow but the bottom is protected. sorry, no pictures.
my dog likes to put her feet up on it to look out, watch them close, sometimes if they jump against it, it will pop open.

RE: Portable charcoal grills

i use a small Weber now (it does pretty good) but by far the best camping grills were the "Little Pal" grills. you can find them any more (if you can let me know). here's a link with pictures:story/picture of "Little Pal Grill"

a good reason to walk on your roof...

went up on the roof today to clean it (manufacturer says it is walkable) and found a hole in the membrane. only about half an inch cut, don't know if a limb fell on it or what but the OSB was just starting to swell from moisture. used Eternabond so should be good as new, water damage was minamal, not enough to worry about. glad i found it when i did. checking the roof should be right up there with checking the air in your tires. IMO anyway.

RE: I Have a Question for Electricians

i would think the manual says not to use a cord to keep some dummy from getting the plugs wet and electrocuting themselves.

RE: grilled shrimp?

kinda like earl said,
peel shrimp
put on skewers (just shrimp, cause they cook so quick)
brush with butter and sprinkle with "garlic and herb" seasoning
only a couple minutes each side on grill (soon as they turn pink=done)
we buy 5 to 10 lbs whenever we're on the gulf, bag up enough for 2 people in freezer bags, then throw'em in the camper when ever we head out. couple of baked potatoes and bread and you've got a good meal.
