RE: New Towing Spec's will make our choice's better.

The best thing that will come from this is a way of understanding relative performance between different vehicles.

RE: 12v Junction Box for PD4655 Install

I did something similar when I swapped my old WFCO to a 4655. I used #4 as an upgrade and used a split bolt inline on the #4 to the old #6. I just removed about a half inch of insulation, added the split bolt and then used some insulating tape. Works great.

RE: Snow load damaged roof?

Mine is still snowed in and haven't been in to see it yet. The wind blows pretty good where mine is so the snow doesn't build up too much. Hope I don't have any damage.

RE: Debit Card and ATM Fees at Bank of America

If you are current or former military, you can't beat USAA.

RE: Uses For Empty Plastic Folgers Containers

They work well for shipping home made cookies to the troops. Made me smile more than once in the desert.

RE: Will a Honda or Yamaha 2000 Run Home Fridge

Yes. I have done it several times.

RE: What DON'T you use??

Rarely use the outdoor kitchen. Never use the TV antenna. Think we use everything else.

RE: Pex questions

Going on my second year with a few sharkbite fittings in my TT. They are awesome! I don't think the knockoffs that they have at lowes are as good.

RE: Wow, decals are expensive!

Is there any way to re-adhere graphics that are in good shape but just peeling a little in one corner?

RE: Storing coffee cups

We use these. Lightweight, easy to clean, keep the beverage warm, very unlikely to break, and have measuring lines that can be used in a pinch.

RE: Trying to decide how much Pitch for concrete pad?

1% will work with concrete, but 2% is probably a better idea unless it is a really good concrete guy. Direction shouldn't matter, but should be in the same direction as you want the drainage to go.

RE: Dex-cool?

I had to replace the intake manifold gasket recently on a 3.4 in my 2000 pontiac grand am. I did follow the manufacturers coolant change intervals and used the red stuff prior to the change out. Often had goo in the overflow bottle. I changed it to green with the lower intake manifold gasket. No more leaks, no more goo.

RE: Progressive Dynamics Converters... What's the Difference

If that is the case I would want the 91xx. If I went to gel all I would have to do is install the other wizard. No, you want the Charge Wizard. Even if you never require a fast charge, the Wizard will give you a lower float voltage which makes for less gassing in the summer heat. AND you will get the 15 minute "Equalizing" every 21 hours. I do think this mode is very beneficial. So again... The 9200 series does have the built in Wizard. The pendant for it is really just a switch that only serves to allow for remote, manual control over the modes and to give you an indicator light of what mode the unit is in. 9100 series is a basic, dumb 13.6V converter. You can add the Charge Wizard pendant to make it as smart as the 9200. Pendant looks about the same, but has more circuitry than the pendant of the 9200 series. To me, manual control is one of the chief benefits of PDs. You can use it to force a boost for fast charging or drop it out of boost if you're sketched about the summer heat, for example. I would definitely get either the 9100 with remote Wizard or the 9200 with remote pendant for controlling the built-in Wizard. The 4600 is cool, but the manual button and light are right on the unit. So you have to either remove the panel to access it or cut a hole. This is why I prefer the 9200 series. Not sure why they don't offer the pendant option on the 4600 series. But the 4600 is still good for the "Set it and forget it" types. I just installed a 4655 in place of a WFCO 8955 and I can access the button just fine without removing any panel. I do have to open the door to the power center, however. It functions automatically WAY better than the WFCO and having the option to force boost to minimize generator time is nice.
