RE: MVP RV Sold to Buyer Which Plans to Liquidate Business

once thor decided to close it's thor-california location it was only a matter of time before mvp went under. i wouldn't be surprised if the head guys got a lot more pay and not much went into operating expenses. reminds me of what happened at warrior, give or take some differences.

RE: Full body paint

some companies will use paint only and others will use a combination of paint and vinyl decals, which are then clear coated all at once. if there is only vinyl on a TH, they should last a good 5 years if the vinyl is quality stuff. some of the graphics i've heard of the top layer shrinking and leaving an adhesive residue on the edges. this to me doesn't sound like quality, more like "let's give them what we have and offer a low price to get their business."

RE: MVP Toy Hauler in trouble

chickity china, the chinese chicken.
this validates what i heard during the pomona show that the envy units on display were the only ones being sold and mvp wasn't taking orders on them/building new ones.

RE: MVP Toy Hauler in trouble

jmt2 not gone out of business but not be open for production. supposedly there was a report claiming they declared bankruptcy. in the article, it mentions there is only a setback and they may be up and running again around march. all i know is that there may not be a high level of buyers for a product made by a company that can't stay above the red in finances. without the financing, how would they be able to cover warranties with insurances?

RE: epic able to still be ordered?

dutchmen most likely will continue that for years to come if they see how well the response/demand is. usually companies will make anywhere from 50-150 or more and present to dealers so they can order one to have on the lot.

RE: Wholesale Pricing

are you looking into a new 2012 unit? see if they have any unsold 2011 models. i'm sure you'll get a deal there.

RE: Vengeance Toy Hauler

Can't find any info online and haven't seen one yet.
I can see the call now:
911 Operator: What's your emergency?
Caller: There is this truck tailgating me! He is following me so closely it looks like he is in my pickup bed. Oh, wait...nevermind.
-Click-
hahahahahaha. exactly! hey bigdog, what happened to your trailer's graphics?

RE: Vengeance Toy Hauler

this looks like it's an IN product. i don't think the guys in SoCal would design a cap like this. on a personal thought, if you're going to make a grill, make it silver/chrome. either way, not my cup of tea.

RE: New Fuzion Monster package

I agree. The competition does look to be fierce, but it's mainly between Fuzion, Raptor, Cyclone, and Voltage, which are all Thor products!
the weird thing is that the toy hauler industry began in california and now these companies in IN are producing the majority of them.

RE: New Fuzion Monster package

I think Jayco is about to rock the TH market with their new Seismic toy hauler. They have some exciting options planned that will bring them more mainstream feature wise.
i had heard jayco decided not to continue with the seismic toy hauler because the name had a natural disaster connotation. just what i heard.

RE: Raptor Decal peeling due to sun after 3 years

rpochop try contacting keystone. i've heard they're pretty good with customer service regarding this since it may be a supplier error, not factory. if not you can always remove the other graphics and leave just the logos on until those start going bad. can you post a picture of what the graphic looks like?

RE: Replacing Decals

sign shops do fast work - make sure they carry a vinyl similar to the original color though, unless you don't mind replacing the other side so they match.

RE: Forest River 2714 Bumper Pull or 3210 Fiver?

i walked inside a RG3210 at the CA RV show - gorgeous! you're smart by not letting your wife see it. if she does reassure her of a need versus want. don't forget to tell her how beautiful she is and how much you love her. a dozen roses and chocolates will help.

RE: looking for the original brochure...

try calling eclipse and asking for one from their archives. i doubt the companies post their owner's manual online to download. i know the question is in regard to d-rings but doubt the brochure would mention anything for that.

RE: Need a wheel for my FS2600

if that's the only damage take it to a wheel repair shop around you. hopefully they do good work. a shop here in orange county, ca repaired my truck wheel after i gave it a good scratch.

RE: Five found dead in RV from generator

that's a tragic thing to happen at such an event. what's more tragic is the people who are posting negatively on the news board.
this could have been avoided with a CO detector like others mention. may it be a reminder to all that this is not a waste of money but something to assist in the protection of your family. may God bless their families, especially the 8-month old twins now without parents. =\

RE: Voltage 3900

while this is a great customer service story, the problems should not have happened in the first place. i know most factories go through an inspection before delivering a unit to a dealer, including leaking. seems like someone in manufacturing and qc needs a bigger fire lit under them.
glad to hear your unit is better than before and you were well taken care of for the inconveniences this caused you. have fun in your 5er!
