I rescued an Arabian colt and he was a red coat when we got him. After improvements in his diet, worming, and a year of sun he is now a brown/grey mix. He has gone from a very ugly duckling into a beautiful swan...i mean horse.

Please give them my condolences. We had a cat that had diabetes and we tried everything and thousands of dollars to save him. We now realize we were selfish. They did the best thing for the sick baby, they had no control over the other. They can now run and play at the Rainbow Bridge and wait happily until their humans come to greet them.

My DH has BCC removed at least once a year. Usually heals really quick. Just be glad it's not Melanoma....and remember to keep a closer eye out in the future.

I keep a couple cans in our emergency kit (tornado shelter). We happen to like spam and it's a great item to have on hand for emergencys...it ranks right up there with the vienna sausages, and jar or peanut butter!

Joe Wheeler State Park has camping and it is on Wheeler Lake. Below the dam is a wonderful camping facility (Corp park run by the city). It is called McFarland Park, rates are reasonable and the scenery is nice (we like watching the barges).

We've got a local battery guy that rebuilds the Shark and they work again and for twice as long per charge. You might check with some battery shops in your area.

Dip Chips Ahoy cookies in milk, layer in dish. Cover with Cool Whip..repeat layers ending with Cool whip. Let set for a couple hours in fridge. You can't believe how unbelivable this simple dessert is! I'm making at camp this weekend.

The motel thing happend to us once. We paid, went to the room....slide the key card and wah-la there was a person on the bed. We shut the door and RAN. Back to the desk we went (we were not happy campers). We were given a nights stay in another part of the motel. Can't say we have stayed in many motels since then either!
