RE: Wade Lake Montana

The access into Wade Lake is much better off 287. There is a bridge but your 30 footer should not have a height issue. I used to use the Hilltop campground (between Wade and Cliff)when I had a 24 foot fifth wheel but have not taken my 30 foot in since I bought it several years ago. The campground on Wade Lake has a few spots that can accommodate larger units but most are limited and that is the only campground in there I would consider with a 30 foot unit. I would call the lodge and try for a reservation before I pulled all the way in to Wade Lake. There is a really nice forest service campground a few miles east of the Quake Lake Visitor Center off 287. It can accommodate large rigs in most of the sites.... Beaver Creek Campground.

RE: Sunrise RV Park Apache Jct, AZ

We stayed last year for 5 weeks and enjoyed the park and people so much that we made reservations to go back this year for 3 months. Some of the spaces are in areas where the spaces are for park models but there are several RVs in those areas as well. The park does have some sites that are set aside for RVs and if that is an issue you are more comfortable with just call and talk with them and see if they can work with you. We are in an area with park models and RVs and really enjoy our neighbors from all sites. I noticed the sewer access was underneath some of the RVs on the sites but they were at the back and not much of an issue to hook up. At my site last year the access was slightly under and to the side. I think this is due to the original design for eventual park models in designated spaces. Sunrise is a well managed park, very clean and quiet and has many activities inside the park as do most of all the parks in southern Arizona. We recommend the park very highly.

RE: Melted plastic around 1 pin of 30A cord

I have had this happen twice over the lasts few years and each time I remember the park having voltage drops while I had the AC on and the breaker would pop. When unplugging to leave I noticed the damage to the prong on my power cord. I have replaced the male and female connectors each time and am beginning to think I need I need to invest in a good surge protector for the fifth wheel and hopefully avoid future problems.
