RE: RV Park Chains / discount groups. Which are the best deals?

We always get our money back on Passport America. Now if all you do is camp on weekends, it may not work for you as some have limitations on when you can use it.

RE: Permanently wired shore power line?

I like mine being permanently attached with holes in the bottom of the compartment to take it out of.
I always wondered if anyone had their cord stolen while plugged into the side of their unit.
The only way you will steal mine is by cutting it.

RE: traveling and fishing licenses

This is our first year of full timing. I had planned on fishing in Texas. Since we were only going to be here for three months and there were so many other things I wanted to do with my wife I passed up on the $68 yearly price for all waters. I will fish when we head back north.
It is a shame.

RE: Looking for new motorhome frustration! Ugh

We also found that our idea of clean and others idea of clean was different. It took many trips of up to four hours each way but finally found the right one.
We found that pictures lie. We have been looking again but between cleanliness and floor plan we have found no reason to get rid of our current one.
Keep looking. What you want is out there.

RE: Mail Service

We are full time now and use Americas Mailbox in Box Elder, SD (Rapid City). We are pleased with their service and they helped us get out vehicles titled in SD.

RE: Texas-Louisiana-Arkansas

We are currently in the RGV (Harlingen, TX area). March 1st the jacks go up and the tires hit the asphalt. We plan on following the Gulf coast to Rockport, Galveston and then leave Texas near Port Arthur/Beaumont area.
We have never been to LA or AS. Looking for RV park recommendations (we have Passport America). Places to see, things to do. We plan on heading north (sometime)to Arkansas and heading further north to Minnesota, home.
We already have three nights at Goose Island St Pk reserved for March 1. After that, it's open.
TIA
Thanks for you inquiry. We are presently in Pharr and also leaving on 3/1 heading to Missouri by way of Louisiana and Arkansas. We have been looking at Passport America and RV Park Reviews. It will be good to see what suggestions your receive.
Have a good trip.

RE: Sewer Roof Vent Cover Replacement

My wife replaced ours, but her skill level is off the chart.
She is also the Eternabond Queen and head slideout gasket technician as well.
She is driven by the fear of having an RV Tech do it for us.....and then having to do it again.

RE: Brake Buddy and Tow Dolly

Once again the dealers/sales people do not know squat.
However here is another thought. If you were going to flat tow it, you were going to have to buy a base plate and either install it or have it installed. The money you get from them will make a big dent in the price you would have paid for the base plate.
I would be more interested in returning the car, but I doubt that will happen.
Just my thoughts on this.

I don't miss that white stuff at all.
We are in Pharr, Texas until the first of March. We went swimming yesterday while it was 84 degrees.

RE: Best boondocking shower head?

If you know anyone with the Oxygenics, see if you can borrow it for one or two showers.
We love ours. I use the little knob on the bottom to shut it down to no more than a dribble.
If we ever get another coach the Oxygenics either goes with us or we immediately get another one.

Congratulations. We finally paid ours off by retiring and cashing in our 401K while there was anything left. Being debt free gives a person a lot of freedom.

RE: Canadian purchasing 3G plan in US

The last time I checked, Virgin Mobile used Sprint which has limited to no coverage in the South Dakota area.
You would want to check out the coverage for whatever area you are going to spend any length of time in.

RE: Looking for mobile RV wash/wax in the RGV

The price by length is what I understand.
The good part is my wife looked at it and said it looked good. Now that was a real blessing. :) :)

RE: Looking for mobile RV wash/wax in the RGV

Steve II Wash & Wax came today.
They washed the top and wheels/tires plus the motor home. Then they applied a liquid wax by hand and polished it out.
Cost for my 35' was $105 plus I gave them a tip. There were four of them working at the same time.
I pointed out some black stripes and they said they would get them off and did. Thanks for the heads up Jim.
I would use them again.
If I can get the site to come up, I will put a report on rvservicereviews also.

RE: Motorhome Insurance?

Not all insurance companies are created equally.
When we went to our auto carrier asking for a quote on our motor home it became obvious real quick that he knew nothing about motor homes. We went with a company that knows RVs and are very happy.
Just my 2 cents worth.

RE: Hey Lucy, ' splain something to me!

Big a__ here. Small toilet.
Can I use it? Yes. But sometimes things just flow much better when I have more space. Plus I don't have to wake anyone up when by turning on the exhaust fan. Some things I would prefer to share with those I don't know and love than those I do know and love. :)
