RE: Alaska 2013 How Early?
We are going in 2013 and although we won't be able to stand waiting I'm thinking starting about the 1st of June. The summer solstice is June 21 and I think we will be in Alaska about that time and hang around there until Aug. hoping to catch the Aroera borealis (sp) then head south. That's a year from now and could change but that's the plan for now!!

You will probably be happier with a 3/4 ton, its just more truck and if you (when )you decide for a bigger trailer you'll have the TV covered!

I pulled the trigger today on a new long bed P?U and I'll need to get a Fifth wheel hitch for it. Is one brand better than another ? My old truck is a short bed with with a Pullrite slider so I'm not familiar with anything else. Thanks

Thompsons citrus farms in Weslaco has the fresh squeezed juices also. They sell grapefruits, oranges and myers lemons right off the tree.

RE: Ford 6.7 debacle just gets crazier
While taking my 08 f350 6.4 in for routine service today, the service writer said he has not heard of a single problem with the 6.7 engine then about 3 minutes later he said all the problems with the HPFP are caused by using DEF bought at Walmart instead of using the good stuff bought at Ford. Hmmmm!!

Keep in mind you can visit other parks for their activities. A lot of people like Mission but it seems like the end of the world to me. Just too far to go anywhere.

IMHO go once and see it, and you'll know whether you want to go back! The fall colors are pretty (but probably not so much this year) and they have the big mall (but so does a lot of other places). I don't live that far from there and have been several times but I won't go back. The traffic is bad in season and I've never gotten a good meal there. It's touristy and if that appeals to you ,go for it!
