RE: Do I need duels, and do I need engine brake?

An exhaust brake is money well spent....made by BD, Jacobs, or Pac ;)

RE: Brake/bearing inspection needed after one season?

Thanks folks,
In time I may try this myself but for now, I think I will get the bearings checked to establish a benchmark and peace of mind. Never thought about fact bearings could be damaged but still under warranty.
I was warned by one person the factory may apply just enough grease to get them out of the building. Can check with dealer but I doubt they took apart during PDI.
Scary to hear what can happen if you overfill with grease and impact on brakes, even if you have those bearing buddies. I was told once you see the grease it is too late.
Thanks gain for the advice.
Seems like we read about troubles caused by incompetent professionals, more than new do-it-yourself owners........I doubt you have bearing buddies, and, in my experience, you can't over-grease EZ-Lubes.

RE: small four-season trailer?

As far as advertised "R" value numbers, for ceiling, walls, and floors, Komforts are another brand to look at. Not lightweights for pulling, however.

RE: Wrong Size Tires????

The old bait & switch. Let us know what the factory says. Should be a simple change out that your dealer could do quickly if they were any good.

RE: Sell or trade in a boat, best way?

I hadn't used my boat in a couple years, so I traded it for a Jeep. The Jeep is fun, but not near as thrilling as going outside in a small boat.

RE: Interesting Tire Decision, Opinions Welcome

My Maxxis were $146ea with tax, stems, M&B back in 09, good 'ol inflation..... anyway, the TPMS will probably be fun, and maybe the cheaper tires will work for you.

RE: Maxxis tire availability

I haven't needed the spare on 6 trailers so far(knock on wood). If I have to replace a tire, I'll buy an off brand before changing plans waiting on an order to come. Good luck.

RE: Trailer Wheel bearings maintenance

My TT is 15 years old, I have owned it for 10 years, how often should i repack the bearings, its never been done. Is it something I need to do?
I don't know, I never kept one that long, but if I did, I'd check them now.

RE: Routes in CA from Mojave to I-80

The first real climb is Sherwin grade from Bishop 4,200' to basically level @ 7,000', then Deadman @ 8,000', down gradually to Mono Lake @ 6,400', then Conway @ 8,100', then down to Bridgeport @ 6,500'. Just gear down as needed and watch your speed. Not a big deal and certainly no need to smoke your brakes. The condition of 395 is very good to excellent for the most part.
Boulder Creek RV Park just south of Lonepine would be an excellent 1st. stop.
I bet you could get an exhaust brake installed in Vegas :C
