RE: A Rescue Poem

So sweet Cat, made me tear up a little...........I wish I could do more for all of the animals in shelters.

RE: Pets while driving

You could use an airline approved folding plastic crate which would provide protection in case of a crash and could be stored once you arrive at your destination. Fold down the dinette while traveling and place the crates on top (of the wood not the cushions). http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-99943571383581_2204_3039898http://1petsupply.com/starcratefolded_L.jpg Mark This is a perfect solution, much better than letting them be loose. Y ou can always keep the crates outside when you are in your sight......

RE: Our new bud

Well I have to admit I was one of them people who had the attitude that I only wanted puppys. Never wanted a older rescue no matter what. I thought I didn't want the dog with someone else s problems...........Than two years ago Dudley came into our lives. Man what a fool I was, after experiencing Dudley I will never again buy a puppy. I can't imagine him sitting in a shelter some where just existing. Im definitely reformed...........

RE: Ideas to get dog to stop digging under fence & out of yard?

A squirt bottle of water works well on my cockers, maybe I will try the Hose outside, if I catch them digging. (Dudley)

RE: Ideas to get dog to stop digging under fence & out of yard?

We have what we think might be a digger. So when we move we are going to put Bricks down around the fence. Not pavers but concrete brick the big ones. (cant figure out why I cant remember the name of them). Any ways haven't decided if they are going all the way in the ground or just half way. Don't even know if the dog will dig, although he "digs" in the house when we leave for a while. So not taking any chances with the busy road behind us. I personally don't like Shock Collars, and as someone else said, some dogs are smart enough to learn, when collars not on, I can do what I want. Good Luck.

Glad to hear you made it home safe Dan. None of us like that expense, but it is money well spent..........

RE: TOTAL CHAOS>>>>

Goodness people, the guy said he was sorry and felt embarrassed it happened. Of course I guess you all are so perfect nothing has ever gone wrong. To the Op. Definitely some training is in order for your Dog, and if you don't know how or have the resources for that, maybe leaving your dog in the TT would help in a situation like that. Not too many people are experienced with Labradoodles ( me included) but from what I understand they are pretty hyper dogs. I think I would try to contact a local trainer to get a little help with him. Good Luck.

RE: Northern Illinois camping group 6/1-6/3 2012

Geezz Mike hate to have to miss this again..........I promise in the Fall we will be there. Thanks BuckyBadger for coming again, (on Mikes behalf). You would think since Mike has been to so many Wisconsin Rally's at least one or two of them could show up to Mikes Rally. What is this your fifth Illinois rally now Mike? Oh well guess some people just are not comfortable out of there zone..........:R:R

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Nice post Richard, but I have to laugh when you talk about Suzie growing up. Ex-specially when I remember something about Ready for Church, White Pants, muddy wet back yard after the rain.............And Suzie. :B:B:B How many others remember what Im talking about???

RE: Waggin Train Dog Treats

Honestly I just don't understand, with so many other choices why anyone would knowingly give their pets a questionable product. Would you rather wait and see if you end up with a seriously ill or worse, a dead pet and then realize that maybe there was something to this? I don't understand taking the risk.... Sher No kidding Sher, why take the risk of them getting sick.

RE: Military veteran dog trainer

I do have to say I do not like shock collars, but in this instance as you said Deb he clearly uses them well. As any thing else in the right hands and used correctly it is not a bad thing. Great Video, great young man.

RE: Warning: giving Ibuprofen to dogs Updated

Wow I have a hard time believing that a Vet assistant would tell you to give your animal Ibuprofen..........Dudley recently had a painful leg joint and I gave him one Buffered aspirin,(pet smart) and my particular Vet told me not to even give him that. I know Vet differ as any Human Doctor does, but never Ibprophen. Almost feel like someone also has to say Never Tylenol either....... Sure hope the poor thing recovers...........
